Funny that. Examined earlier, your half orange is beautiful but the one with the knife did pip it slightly at favourite for me. Some of his shadows on the still lives leave the objects floating but you got the right one - the horizon point grounds it properly and he should do more like that.

I've noticed that people who buy our houses often pick out things that they own as well - association. I think we'd have the same water glasses for the dining table as you if H hadn't lost the red ticket from the postman and picked them up from the post office - 2 sets - one warm colours one cold? Convinced that I have throws like the one on your yummy chaise (if mine hadn't been chucked in the washing machine a couple of times) :)

EDIT: the thing I meant to say to start with was that DD fell in love with the sparkly branches and birds in the cabinet in your room on our trip to the bathroom and stroke cats :)

    Glasses...tk max!

The cabinet is called 'sparkley corner'. Why have a box for jewellery when you can have sparkly twigs and fairy lights and birdies?:D the cabinet cost a fiver. One day i will finish painting it. :D

I love that blanket, as i said, one of our few wedding gifts! And the chaise....dh's villa furniture, the opnly thing i said i really wanted. It is realy comfy to nap on!

No amount of money would be worth not being there for my family, I wouldn't work at all if I didn't have to to provide for them.

Still Sue, PN and I can look in through the windows at the bright lights of the rest of your lives.

Talking of which, I need to have a wall light above my new desk unit (new to me, from freecycle). There is currently a wall light fitting above the desk at about 6 feet - I guess the desk is normal height about 3 feet.

Edit: Nearly forgot your Q Viva - ~Kelis is da bombe!
See, to me, what youbhave in financial value is not inconsiderable compared to most people ......i think it should be appreciated for what it is.

And of course you would not stand in and look at our lives...you would not swap for examplle, with me....childless, poor health, or dh, working around the clock. We have to appreciate our other lucky hands otherwise, what joy would life have?

Doubt it will cover you. There are clauses about height and depth even for tradespeople and their policies are priced accordingly, even if they don't climb big ladders. An 'office' based product would cost a lot less and not cover you to put a foot on a ladder. I'm certain that I'm insured for ladders to a certain height, and I don't do ladders unless forced, as I go up fine but scream when I come back down :o

We can always site the trampoline next to the tree:)

Thought as much, OH said "fine being insured, but has he actually ever climbed a tree".

Like the idea of not paying for clearing the wood and freegling it, but how much space will the wood occupy? and will the tree surgeon charge for chopping it into transportable sized pieces?

I've never tweeted, so all your retweeting words are lost on me, I think you need to be on FB as well, to capture a bigger audience.

    2. transfer stuff from old machine
    3. work out how to get non-wireless printer onto the router instead of the old desktop
    4. try and load office 2007 from old disks
    5. learn how to use windows 7 properly
    6. Get the wireless mouse & keyboard working on this machine

plus loads of house stuff that had been earmarked for today.

Make it a condition of collection people chop it. Tree surgeon, if charging that much, is presumably chopping it a bit at a time, into safely drop able lengths. People can either take as is if they are strong and there is more than one of them, or bring a chain saw.

Most people who rely on wood as their fuel - rather than just have an open fire or two...end up with a chain saw.

we need to tidy today as we have houseguests. we started last week and got a bit sidetracked during the week. I have very low standards and appreciate not everyone does but I still ache :(

Doozer: I'm going to bootcamp on Monday and Pilates on Wednesday and if anything still moves by Thursday it's another bootcamp. If I don't collapse in a heap and die of course.

Horrid weather out there, cold, grey, not raining, but wet air. If it were raining it would be better, worth it. We have had a lot of this this week, less of the promised rain, but still the heavy over hang of it nipping any enthusiasm in the bud!

Dh and i did 'garden tour' (the start to all our weekends) and some of our roses have little buds on them now......i love roses, and i am getting a decent collection together....i really like old roses, but have modern old fashion type roses too, and they all look pretty robust last year, they recsented moving house last year, i moved them from the other garden too late really.

and finally, it's so nice to see how people are appreciative of different walks of life on here. I think it's very humbling how happy some of you are in your situations and it makes me feel v insecure that I'm always moaning about something or another.

I am happy with my job, I love it and I wouldn't change it for the world so I guess I'm better than most people who bear the drudgery of their jobs to put food/pay bills.
