    Lesson 2

Do not put any of the correct details in to the comparison site (use mr t test at next doors address, don't know registration etc) as otherwise when you find the cheapest company and approach it via a cashback site like quidco or topcashback you can't be sure that you will get the £20-£60 commission rather than the comparison site.

That's the sort of thing a professional shopper would think of ......

If you're interested, I've "saved" myself £491. Wasn't the cheapest, could have saved another £100 with what looked like Mickey Mouse. But I've gone with LV, 5* defaqto rating, pushed the voluntary excess up to £500 and took off legal protection as I realised that I get the same thing for free from the dealership. No charges for moving house, changing car or registration plates which I got totally caned on by Sheila's Wheels last year. (£78!!)

£20 cashback - didn't opt for the cuddly meerkat toy route.

I don't consider it saving. I've changed insurers every year because every year they've tried to double it at renewal. Why they can't be fair, I don't know. I've spent all day researching prices and underwriters. I have no sense of satisfaction at all.
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

What?! You need to go and have a look around MSE proper!

I've had over £1500 in cashback from Quidco just from buying things I'd have bought anyway. And I always compare prices online first and then look for cashback, just so I don't get seduced purely by the cashback.

I've missed a bit when I've shopped in certain places and didn't realise you could get cashback, but now I have the toolbar as well that tells me what the cashback is each time i visit a website.

You want to be careful with that Mrs Brick, no matter how painfully-average-with-a-hint-of-botox-looking you are, the captains of the flights you are on are going to stop sending you complimentary bottles of champagne when you board if their ipad tells them you're all stingy and not a profitable customer.

    I've been Money Tipped!
Sigh. I am reading the passport photo rules. There is a contradiction in them. There should be a clear difference between you face and the background, but the back ground should be cream or pale grey. That is my skin colour, crteam and pale grey!

I recommend L'Oreal Sublime Bronze tanning spray.

From memory, St Michaels Mount, Tintagel (allegedly where King Arthur was born), Polperro was nice. Looe was nice but very very quiet when I went, but that was years ago.

If you like walking/views, this looks very interesting:

Thanks lj :) At this rate we're going to have to plan another visit!
