Well it goes i3, i5 and i7 these days for intel. If you wait a bit you might find an i5 for that price. How big is the screen?

    For example: http://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/medion-akoya-e6221-i5-laptop-sainsburys-349-99-1185637
    I think....

Is an i3 processor on a toshiba laptop any good? Is that better than dual core? Comes with 4gb memory and 640gb hard disk for 349. I asked on the techie board, but they Argue amongst themselves over there and I don't understand what they are saying.

I asked DH, he like michaels thinks you can get more for your money if you shop around a bit. We normally get ours from Dell Factory Outlet. They say that they are refurbished, but we've had 8 PCs from them so far and they've all been new. Can't see any stand-out bargains at the moment though. ETA: we're assuming 15" screen for the price, if it is 17" could be quite a good deal.

I bought my daughter an HP - Pavilion g6-1240sa Refurbished 15.6" Laptop from Currys for £320. That's an i5 CPU. Refurbished, but looked like new, and so far no hitches.

I think that you would struggle to get an i5 laptop new for under £350. Edit: Just seen Michael's post. Why not just buy that and be done with?

As for whether the i3 is any good, it depends what you will do with the laptop?
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

An alternative would be roller blinds in a very thin material.

Or, the alternative lir cure, just accept people seeing you naked.

Quiet day today. I hope everyone's off doing nice things?

I did have astigmatism but I had my eyes lasered and they're fine now, I had a test about a month ago and he did say that my focus mechanism was overworked but I don't need glasses at all. I prefer the diagnosis that not being able to see magic eyes is that I am definitely not a psycopath.

I don't have any problems with venetian blinds except that they're difficult to clean :(

I said to dh' if doozer is coming i am not having these stacks of boxes down stairs, its bad enough being in a state without a wall of boxes in the dining room. So we have been sorting boxes. I found a box dh had shipped back from somewhere that appears to be full simply of rubbish. That sort of hoarding is the sort opf thing his mother did, and her parents did. Not bishiong ANYTHING. I am a hoarder, i get finding some things hard to throw away, boxes full of rubbish, not so much.

just had an initial session with a personal trainer. he's £32/hour :(

    worth it for 10 hours?

"You can lead a horse to water" comes to mind.

10 hours won't make any difference and it's a lot to pay in the hope you find enthusiasm to carry on with.
That money would easy pay 6 months membership. The classes help to keep you going too. You could easy achieve your goal within that time with effort.

I meant to say to lir that I read an article that the pyjama look is a hot fashion statement this year, so she can go out in the yard in her PJs and look like the cover of Vogue after all...

Its been cold a lot of today, so i have worn two pairs of pjs, layered (and a big cardi and a jacket). I was outside for a while messing with special girl, who is having problems with her leg, and got hot while trying to convince her to let us put stuff on her potentially sore areas, and deal with the thrush she has in her problem leg foot. But coming back inthe house to go through boxes it was cold, so was glad for the two pairs of pjs.

I understand its perfectly acceptable to be a nudist in your own house and garden, even if you can be over looked. Its when you go out of those confines in places that are not clothing optional its a problem. :)
