Could be a sign of astigmatism (which prevents magic eye pictures working for you).

Mmmm.. earlier Pastures said that Magic Eye pictures could be a sign of being a psychopath.

I can see Magic Eye pictures even though I have an astigmatism and can't look at the stairs on the underground because the lines go wavy. Does that make me a psychopath?

Dammit, no wonder chewy is pretending I'm not pming him.

Yes - trying to look through them whilst moving head = feel odd. Also get sick and tired of untangling the strings - does this count as well?

However just seeing net curtains makes me break out it suburban-mid-life-crisis-itis so they only answer would be a detached house in such large grounds that you didn't have to worry about being overlooked...aka the LIR cure.

An alternative would be roller blinds in a very thin material.

I've got a mixture of roller blinds, vertical blinds and curtains. Surely there must be something wrong with me also!

A friend has recommended her solar panel fitter (sorry Lydia) as has another friend (same fitter) so have asked them to quote.

Apparently you can get the EPC done after the solar panels are fitted but before you apply for your FIT, which can make scoring a D easier. All a bit risky though. Basically since the FIT tariff was reduced the cost of the panels have come down, so it still makes financial sense.

Sounds good. Glad you were able to get a recommendation for somebody good. :)

Hope your EPC works out OK.

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Quiet day today. I hope everyone's off doing nice things?

I did have astigmatism but I had my eyes lasered and they're fine now, I had a test about a month ago and he did say that my focus mechanism was overworked but I don't need glasses at all. I prefer the diagnosis that not being able to see magic eyes is that I am definitely not a psycopath.

I don't have any problems with venetian blinds except that they're difficult to clean :(

Yep - ours are always dirty looking :(

Can't have my eyes lasered as one is too lazy and they are worried the good one might be damaged (low risk but not worth taking when other eye is so bad). It is all my parents fault for not insisting I wear an eye-patch when young cos I didn't want to even though optician recommended it...not that I am still bitter 30 years later.

Posted my hottest ever deal on HUKD now at 368 degrees for homebase sofas - could any NP nip over there and push it over the magic 500 degrees so I can get my 'hot' badge please.
    I think....

Did you have to have a EPC for yours Lydia?

The thing is that although the repayment period may still be similar, The tariff after that will be far more for the systems on the older tariff until the end of the scheme.

Still worth it as a medium risk I'd expect.
