I first thought it was an April fool.
Second thought is that the woman is deluded, a legend in her own mind.
I paid for a chaps rail ticket last year when he did not have enough to get him to his destination, the queue was growing and he was distressed. I felt sorry for him.
In our local coop if behind someone at the tills who is scratching around in their purse to pay for basics Mr Spirit or I will usually say "please let me help" and if they agree make up the balance .
Hope none of them have been left with the impression we wanted anything in return.0 -

This thread is getting very
All I'd really want, is someone who treats me with respect & dignity.
Anything else is a bonus...It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -

i looked up respect and dignity in the dictionary, and my interpretation is that respect appears to be consistent with dinner being on the table when i walk through the front door, and dignity appears to amount to me having full control of the TV remote.0 -

If it is any help to you, we received a number of quotations for some building work. One of the builders gave an overall figure that was quite competitive but refused to break it down into the different parts of the tender document. The range of quotes from the different builders was colossal.
I think that these tenders must be very difficult to do and very time-consuming, so I suspect that some of the builders make an overall guestimate of the overall cost and then roughly allocate that cost between the items in the tender. That may be sensible, because there must be a lot of cost that is very difficult to estimate in advance or that may be subject to factors outside the builder's control, such as the weather. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

The teeth will be fine if you give them a fluoride tablet every day.No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

well you don't want your kids to be taller than you, it just looks all wrong, and your son might start thinking that he's the alpha male and all that sort of carp.0
