I'm quite boring.... big on the "quite" part. I don't gamble, don't take risks and am not really keen on drinking either.
I'm sure the M-S isn't illegal, just that real life casinos won't let you do it .... I've never been in a casino, but I read that on t'Internet.
Never heard of your way, but it would make more sense to me as you're kind of following the same thinking, but minimising the duff goes by setting your starting point on a specific event.0 -

It is gambling, and it is high risk, that’s why I wouldn’t advise anyone doing it. I could probably have gone on and on, and lost a lot of money on that one, which is why I’ve closed the account.
Again, I’m not 100% on the Martingale being illegal, I just wouldn’t want to rick doing something that’s not above board.

Are you saying that this is a feature of some online casinos' software, ie there are auto-correlations in the algorithms used? or you think this system works in bricks and mortar casinos too?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -
PasturesNew wrote: »Best job I ever had was a one day booking in about 1988. It was at the reception/office of the regional TV broadcaster. The building contained a photographer and a reporter, who I didn't see.
When I arrived, I was shown a TV remote and a pile of newspapers. I was told "here are today's newspapers if you want to read them; here's the TV control, just make sure it's on ITV if members of the public walk in". And then "If anybody comes in for Patrick's Pantry recipes they're in the bottom drawer".
I then sat there all day, reading the papers and watching the TV. One member of the public came in and the phone rang 3x.
My mate whose funeral near Carlisle I described two days ago was a musician, who was once interviewed on Radio Scotland for a desert Islands Discs kind of a show.
His instructions for the radio show were to go to a university (in the South of England, near where he worked) at night, where the receptionist (in an otherwise empty building) instructed him to walk down a corridor to a room which was the local BBC Studio.
He got there, let himself in, sat down and the phone rang, he picked it up and the interviewer spoke to him and they did the show as if they were in the same studio.
This country does some things really well;)
He was woken up one night back in the 90s and interviewed on the radio by a New york radio station.
A song named after him was being used as the promotional music for a movie in the East Coast of the US and a DJ there tracked him down and asked him how he felt. I would see it as thoughtless but ever the gentleman he said he gave as gracious answers as he could until they let him get back to his kip. There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
CK, I might be going back a bit here but it wasn't too long ago that all betting outside of racecourses was illegal here IIRC. I fact in the states I think it's still fairly restricted I think.
I've visited two countries so far whose whole economies seemed to be based on legalised gambling ( Monaco and Macau).
Whatever happened to that northern supercasino the government were threatening to build? And does anyone even know if gambling is any good for an economy? There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

Brown kicked it into touch. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-467743/Brown-kills-Blairs-supercasino-plans.html
Now, the site it was to be at is suggested as an entertainment/lesiure centre http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereveningnews/news/business/s/1488130_manchester-city-and-city-council-leisure-complex-plan0 -

I’ve found this online with one casino, and this is the only casino I have used, so therefore it seems to be a technical feature. It’s happened to me on three occasions, and I’ve had green on those three occasions as the fourth ball, but as I’ve stated, I don’t know.💙💛 💔0 -

I had a friend on BBC Radio Wales last night, as in they literally phoned her in, then asked her to go on live, and being who she is, she !!!!!!ed up on the first and went perfectly after that. t/a KizzKez for anyone that’s interested.

I just don’t like the thought of losing large amounts of money to the sharks. To win £1700 is more than the risk that I’d like to go to.PasturesNew wrote: »Manchester. Scrapped in 2007.
And good! The last thing we need is a load of gambling addicts on the DFW boards
At the same time, though, I get kicked for posting a SoA with net assets of about £1m. What I’ve got admitted publicly on here is that the version that I posted a few weeks back was a SEVERELY watered down version (as in I’ve left any foreign holdings, whether business/property out of the mix, and I earn a LOT more than I’ve stated, too.) Will post pre-audited pre-tax profit, up on April 7th (At Mar 13th on the accounts as we speak, and with 8 international subs, going through exchange rates for everything is a nightmare ), and may even do it on the DFW board to get back at them

The martingale system is pretty useless unless you're really rich, as all you win is a profit equivalent to whatever your original stake was, and you need a lot of capital compared to your original stake to "guarantee" the profit.0
