Not keeping up well ATM due to executive lifestyle, but best wishes to LJ for a quicker recovery than he expects. :):)

Tomatoes liquidise pretty well, so you won't have to give them up. Had a bloke here yesterday who swears he had tomatoes in May last year, but as he quoted Moneymaker I think that was likely b0ll0cks, as no one who knows about tomatoes grows those!!! :rotfl:

PS. Sold garden (£20k) Well pleased. :D

I had early toms last year, cannot remember when exactly. It was that super early heatwave and, um, stress, (i.e. for got about the plant a bit so probably fruited before preparing to die). I had thought about trying that again, having a sacrificial one which i try and stress at the right time so that it fruits before the other, loved ones, come on and take over?

I know we are all being nice and helpful and also that LJ can talk for himself but I think may be we have been a bit OTT as LJ has seemed fairly reticent in volunteering info - perhaps the ast page or two might have been better shared elsewhere or by PM - I may be completely wrong here and I will certainly edit this post later.
    I think....

Well, i would agree if we were demanding to know what is wrong. But he has spoken about food ennui, and we know some how it must be soft, so volunteering ideas from which he can pick and choose seems pretty harmless.

Certainly more harmless than asking from a pound from each of us to buy a reno project with

    NOTE: I DON’T CONDONE GAMBLING!

Gave one of the free £25 gambling things a go last night ....finished about £1700 up an hour later on the roulette!

...however it’s safe to say that the system we were talking about works,
I must have missed that, was it the Martingale System? I had a friend who did that with massive success, but then he stopped updating us and I never remembered to ask the final outcome.

Had an online friend just last week use a freebie and walked away with £700. 18 years old, never gambled before... I couldn't believe it. I thought she had popped up online to ask me what to do about a problem.... she was asking me about withdrawing the money. Lucky bint.

My Dad has a problem chewing and eating food too and there is a book you can get from the library with lots of recipes in. This is the book that I got for him, but there are probably others too. May be worth looking in to?

I didn't know there was any such thing. Would have bought that for my old when the old was unable to eat and couldn't swallow..... although we did discover a leaflet/booklet in the old's belongings post-death that explained the illness and gave some recipes. No bl00dy good being in the big envelope somebody is sent home with if that person never looks, hides it, is in denial and never tells us. But every time I went out I was desperately scanning the shelves for things I thought the old could try and enjoy. :(

Although the old was never ever one for gravy or sauces even pre-illness. Food was always on the plate dry.

I like the clear walking sticks, espescially the twisted one. But i am not going to buy it becuase too expensive to justify for something i have a less nice version of.

I am meant to be looking for gifts and somehow got on to walking sticks, as 'light' relief.
