I don't drink coffee or alcohol anyway (have tried and failed to develop a taste for either) and have no bloke to have sex with. Do I get to keep both the chocolate and the broadband?Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Point them to https://www.AtaLoss.org which does for bereavement support what MSE does for financial services, providing links to support organisations relevant to the circumstances of the loss & the local area. Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

A "black and tan" is a surprisingly common drink in the USA involving a half and half pint of Guinness stout and a lighter beer layered one on top of the other.
Surprisingly tasty.
Although it took some getting used to ordering it when I lived there without the fear of being beaten senseless.“The great enemy of the truth is very often not the lie – deliberate, contrived, and dishonest – but the myth, persistent, persuasive, and unrealistic.
Belief in myths allows the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought.”

For most countries you can pop-off abroad at the drop of a hat without a visa should the urge take you. Travel's very important to me: I don't drink, don't smoke, don't take drugs but do spend a lot on holidays. I can't remember the last time I didn't go abroad at least once in a year but it must have been in the late 70s/early 80s, can't be later than that. Plus of course its a form of photo ID which is useful in itself.
I can never just pop off. I have to sort out cover at the wreck, and then focus health management before and after. Last time i went to italy for two or three days it took a fortnight to recover.. I have never not had a passport, since i Didn't travel on my mothers as a babe, but its just not the same now.
I will almost certainly get one, i think dh would be upset if i did not, but....feel no compunc tion ( is that a word or have i made that up? Not sure if ts real lol.) to use it.0 -

Yeah she will. If foundinrates is upset at the idea of her not having one, she'll end up getting one. I've met them IRL, and they're nice to each other. Even if she doesn't think she'll ever use the thing, she'll decide the money's worth it if it helps him feel she's a little bit less absolutely inaccessible while he's away. They're lucky to have each other.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? agree. and i reckon dog dog will eat the new passport.
on the subject of destroyed passports (which i have just created out of nothing), my oh has put mine through the washing machine twice.
the second time was particularly galling, as i'd only had the new one i had to pay £100 or whatever for, for about 2 months. we arrived in australia, and she put my jeans in the machine machine, destroying the passport on the first day. luckily it got me back into the country, and then i had to fork out another £100...
i didn't speak to her at all for 24 hours.0
