First F1 race of the season...
Good to see McLaren starting off well, it sure looks like it won't be an easy ride for RedBull this season. Hopefully Ferrari can up their game a bit (a lot!).
Happily surprised by the performance of Lotus and Williams also, it should be an interesting season this year.0 -

Hey folks.
I'm still not good. Nowhere near 100%. I'm about as much use as my footy team at the mo.
You lot move too quick! My last post was 10+ pages ago. I don't feel able to go back through all that...
I'm trying to do stuff to give me something to focus on. I've put a few seeds in some compost, & a kind soul sorted the greenhouse for me so it is available for me to use.
I've planted peppers (last year didn't work - planted too late). They're still in the house at the mo - I don't have a propogator.
Also planted lettuce, tomatoes, beetroot & peas. Ran out of compost so couldn't do any more. Left all these in the greenhouse.
Now I'm worried that the cold nights might have an adverse effect.:(
I do this every year though - plant seeds then spend 3-4 weeks+ moaning to everyone that the compost is poor/seeds are bad/frost got them/nothings working grumble grumble (delete as applicable...):o40th birthday -gliding lessons (my hobby whan at uni). 50th birthday - taken by DW to see the Moulin Rouge in a weekend away in Paris.Lovely jubbly.
Now need ideas for what to do for the lovely Mrs Z for our 20th anniversary, which is approaching like an express train.
My ideas have dried up and I feel like a rabbit trapped in the headlights of an oncoming car!:(
Not sure if it is quite what you're looking for, but have you seen this place?

It's getting harder & harder to keep the government in the manner to which they have become accustomed.0 -
Hmmmmm, Sex or Broadband. That is indeed a quandry. I suspect there's some to whom broadband IS their sex life, and it's therefore impossible to disconnect the two...
For me. I'll happily switch to dial-up and keep sex.0 -

Mine is due to run out, or perhaps already invalid, cannot remember exact date on it, but must be ineligable for those places you need three months on.
I am opting not to go on a short trip next month, we didn't take up NYc offer last weekend and i just wonder if i need one.
I am also stupidly avoioding having photo taken, rofl.
Dh is horrified i am even consideriong not renewing immeadiately. But they are a lot now, right.....so....if i am not going to use it, whata waste! But dh says i will regret it if there is something i want to do at too short notice to sort it out. And my dad said i ould regret it if somehting happened to dh while he was travelling for work or something.
Having not ever needed my first/last passport, it didn't matter that it expired some time in the past ... but I do need one now and it's on my To Do list every day ... just never get round to it.
Re photo: me too - but I eventually dragged myself to a digital booth last week. I looked "OK" in a kind of "what do you expect for an old bird" kind of way. If you keep choosing to have another snap ... you end up with a choice of 3 photos. 3's the limit though. At 3 goes you have to choose one of them (or pay another £5).0 -

Wait until it's essential, then wish you'd done something sooner.0 -
I've spent most of my day pawing through broken links and a directory.... for each broken link find out why it's broken, then log in get the correct/new code... and/or rewrite the page. Then add the previously broken link into a directory, then use the directory link in the original document. Next.
When your initial report says it's found 48 broken links that kind of takes all day.... it's done now.
The directory was installed about 3 years after my early postings on a blog - so those old links were never put into the directory ... and the directory means all broken links can be fixed quicker next time. There are many reasons for broken links... and there's no way of preventing them - so you have to adopt an efficient way of managing them.0 -

I remember reading facebook pays people a dollar an hour to moderate their site. It's a pity there's not a similar bulk service for individual's websites and fixing broken links, day to day maintenance e.t.c. To free you up to work on things like website development.
Or you could rely on helpful volunteers, like this place. Not that I know how to write (internet) code though.0
