For those that have birthdays in the first part of the year you end up with Xmas, then a birthday, then mother's day .... then nothing at all until next Xmas. For present givers, you already wracked your brains at Xmas, birthday came too soon to really come up with anything else/great, then it's s0ddin' mother's day.
My mother got a surprise breakfast, she was incredibly surprised...dh was worried our surprise visit would give her a hearty attack, but she was wildly happy that we and the dogs had driven over with breakfast...in our pjs. She kept trying to give us stuff we didn't want though.0 -
Something i thought i would never wonder...do i actually need a passport?
Mine is due to run out, or perhaps already invalid, cannot remember exact date on it, but must be ineligable for those places you need three months on.
I am opting not to go on a short trip next month, we didn't take up NYc offer last weekend and i just wonder if i need one.
I am also stupidly avoioding having photo taken, rofl.
Dh is horrified i am even consideriong not renewing immeadiately. But they are a lot now, right.....so....if i am not going to use it, whata waste! But dh says i will regret it if there is something i want to do at too short notice to sort it out. And my dad said i ould regret it if somehting happened to dh while he was travelling for work or something.0 -

Same with my "old", though he seems to be responding to treatment at the moment. They also seem to have a plan B for when the chemo stops working, but its all very new...and scary.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. DH is right, you should always have a valid passport in case you need it at short notice. If you renew before the expiry date, they add the unused time onto the new one. For a lot of places you need 6 months validity. Not only would it mean not being able to go abroad at short notice, but a lot of airlines require a passport for internal flights.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I can pronounce Russian words (letter by letter, as opposed to how they're supposed to sound) when I see it on the telly, or online. I find a lot of words, when said, sound the same as English.
I can say stuff like: hello, my name is ..., thank you, beetroot soup (can't see a need for that though!).
This was all about 30 years ago.

Мой русский не так сильно, как раньше, однако мы надеемся, будет практиковаться и получить это снова.💙💛 💔0 -

What would you give up before giving up broadband?!While only a quarter of those surveyed said they would consider giving up sex for a year in order to maintain their broadband connection
Only a quarter?
To put it a different way, 25% of Britons surveyed would rather be able to buy books slightly more cheaply and get the football scores at a slightly more convenient time than have sex for a year.
When I read stuff like this I remember why I married an Aussie and never had English girlfriends.
And since when was sex a 'vice'? Sex is as necessary to a healthy life as food, exercise, shelter and water.
Sheesh.0 -

Sheesh.
I like sex but would choose access to water over it......exercise, not so much. Sex is exercise anyway, innit?0 -
What would wheezy do without access to milfhunter?
I would happily forgo sex in exchange for a lot of things, but most of them are different variants of sandwich.0 -
