I'm sorry guys, I just don't think I am nice enough to post here.

If anyone wants to set up a beastly and bad tempered thread I would be most interested.

I'm a horrid person, I just pretend to be nice so I can hang around here and get fashion tips.

Old's been playing gymnastics ... and has injuries to boot.... as I've literally just been informed.

Won't be rushing over there, it's akin to a kid scraping a knee at school really in the big scheme of whether to worry/panic or not.

They don't go into a care home for the likes of me to be rushing over every time they sneeze..... old's in good hands 24/7. Let the professionals do their job.

You need to think about yourself more. How's your foot healing?

It's OK, except it hurts... and in a bizarre way. It hurts similar to how a burn would hurt and so the inside of my big walking sock keeps grazing it and making me aware of it. But it doesn't hurt/cripple me. It's just this bizarre hurting feeling. I don't wiggle it about though as then I become aware that it's not as mobile as it used to be. Maybe another way to describe it is slightly swollen and raw on the inside... but it's not really very swollen, more kind of red.

I figure ... I'll live. It's been 12 days now; I expect in 2 weeks' time to have forgotten it ever happened.

I'm so glad you explained that. I was beginning to wonder, given the names you two have in the credits and how they get a bit jealous of each other at times, that was a pet name for his sister:eek:. I was wondering what they learn in the playground these days.

I know a few people like Etta James. There's a concert of hers on Sky Arts 2 tonight at 12 midnight if anyone fancies watching and has access to the channel (Sky 130)

Today while we were out in a borrowed car passed a girl riding beautifully but crying as her beautiful horse was rearing and leaping about the road with her. Eople just kept driving past. Her tears flowed even more when i parked and offered to help...she was so relieved.

I held her horses head and chatted to her while she calmed down, and noticed a few things were very wrong and possible causes of his behaviour. Her trainer i checked, is a woman whose work i have seen second hand ion pupils and very much admired,. She is meant to be a bridge between the kind of drssage i love (clasical) and the competiton stuff. Yet there were some things that were obvious routes to investigate in the horses equipment. I did my best to be tactful while suggestingthe girl review three things with her trainer, and emphasised my respect for this woman and told the girl how nicely she rode and how beautiful her horse is and told her what changes i would start with. The first her answer was a good reason not to do, but i suggested a third path with her trainer never had ( and is in fact the unco ventional path i took with special girl who was a rearer, but abides by competition rules....many suitab le solutions would not) .The second was imo very poor horsemanship and if i were her trainer would be embarrassed to have a student or livery leave my yard wearing...it is a poor sign indeed. The third is a competetion trend which borders on cruelty. To her credit the girl got off and made two of the changes straight away then remounted, and was so grateful some one had stopped to help, she kept saying so. Then as she felt better because i could not abandon the dh is not insured to drive he walked with her back to the yard, and whether it was due to the two changes or not...the horse did not attempt to rear again.

I also gently told her to do up her hat strap. While the cool kids do indeed ride with their chin strap u fastened, the cooler ones do not get head injuries, because, take it from me, a broken brain is never cool.

. I am sad, that trainer was choice number one for dh when he was ready to step up a gear, now i would be concerned as this horses turnout was .....probably painful for the horse and simply remedied..and was coming out from the trainers yard, not just from someone who trained with her at a distance.

I'm on here because DH is going to get up for work at 4.30am and has already gone to bed. I can talk to you, the TV or the moon. This one seems the least mad of my three options. Though of course I do love speaking to the people on the NP thread and need very little excuse.

Young kids, little money, no better option than you lot....

I find it is important to be able to talk Eastenders and the today programme - perhaps their should be a 'current culture digest' podcast for consultants?!
    I think....
