Silvercar, why do you need to mirror your old PC to your new PC?

Why not embrace the new operating system, add your required software and copy all your stuff (music, pictures, documents etc) to DVD/CD and put them on your new PC.

Well, well, well, my referral to the big hospital, which I was told to expect a delay of approx 6 weeks just for the letter telling me when the appointment is, came through today....I go up Wednesday.

So it took just 8 days from referral for the appointment to arrive on my doorstep and less than 2 weeks for the actual appointment from referral, pretty darn good I think!
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Isn't there some sort of google desktop thang that basically indexes all your local files and allows you tro serach like the main google search? Never used it myself by remeber it did exist - withgoogle tho you never know if things you use are suddenly going to get dropped as they never get beyond 'beta'....
There was, but nobody used it, so it was retired.

Put me down as "I didn't even know you could make movies on PCs.... and I've never seen anything like that".

Thought I'd deleted that fast enough, but you just got in there. Having posted the question, I did some more googling and found somewhere explaining how to transfer WMM from a Vista computer to a W7 one, so I've just done it, and he's happy now. I'm happy too, because he won't need to keep borrowing my machine. :)

Have you seen the link on youtube that I posted elsewhere? It'll show you the kind of thing he does.

    That made me smile :A

I thought it might. He'd referred to "ups and downs" and also to "peaks and troughs". I thought "up" was probably preferable to "peak" for describing I would wish for for him. :rotfl:

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

I don't generally click on youtube links as I've no speakers and my connection speed can be dire. So I wouldn't have done :)

I don't personally use anything. It's my son, who's 11. He uses Gimp to edit the photos, and WMM 6.0 to make them into movies.

What problems is your DD having?
