    I've been Money Tipped!
Chocolate sounds good, i don't have any. I might make some hot chocolate. My nails are all broken atm, but i should tidy them up. I have gardeners nails this week. Shopping trip out, trying not to use car much as its not running well, going in next week. Very heavy rain ipad ap not going to cut the mustard, but it is grey outside. I love the rain too. A massive pie is going to lead to longer term misery, no corned beef or bread even. What else do you put in a corned beef sandwich? Pickles/gerkhi/tomato with it sou ds good. No finishing work ....though dh coming home is my favourite part of the week...

well there you go - that's something to look forward to!

if i was feeling miserable i would watch 6 hours of stewart lee material, eat something enormous, and then probably look for something funny on youtube, preferably with an animal doing something silly. like a chinchilla jumping off a kitchen work top straight into a swing-bin.

Hmmm...decapitation/incapacitation, but it's not his head....

It's very painful though and he links to a song called "soft" ...

    Hmmm....

Anyway, welcome back jelly! Hope you're not too much in pain.
Next time, put your out of office on, okay? :D

    crisps and mayonnaise.

    Right answer.
Tomato is also an option .... but not too much or people might catch you eating healthy food and your street cred dives.

I am a bit blue today.....

Can any nice people suggest things that cheer them up?

Dinner at Fat Duck? Takes about 2 months to get a table though.

Failing that, errr....go and chainsaw something. That always cheers me up :rotfl:

that's still how they were teaching it when i was at school! i can't read out loud very well, because my brain doesn't always convert the word on the page into the right word when i say it. i hated having to read out loud in front of the whole class, who then laugh in your face as it appears you have a reading age of 4.

They were still doing it that way when I was at school although the teacher soon gave up on me as I got bored waiting for everyone else and purchased my own books and would read it at my speed. I tended to have finished the book by the time everyone else was on page 10.

It wasn't just English I did that with at school, physics was another one...my group (all of us fast readers/learners/logical thinkers) had completed the robot by reading ahead while the rest of the class were still doing a simple circuit board and being hopelessly confused. To us it was simple and logical, to the others it was a maze of wires and confusing instructions.

That has always been my problem though, the teachers always appeared to be going too slow for me and boredom would set in pretty quickly which then resulted in me switching off until everyone else had got to the stage I had already reached...the difficulty was then switching back on. It hasn't improved with age either, when I did a GCSE at night school, I still romped ahead, similarly with all my other qualifications I have acquired since leaving school, I am very much an independent learner and def not suited to a classroom catering for mixed speed learners.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

And this is the true lifestyle of those of us who don't have posh alerts :)

I prefer to seek human idiots hurting themselves though.

Instead of Stewart Lee I just flick around the telly randomly, watching what looks OK ... with a blanket up to my chin for comfort.

Eating something enormous is always good.

Last night I visited the kebab van - had an MSE moment there too. A kebab was about £5, but just meat was £3, so I just had the meat and got a bag of microwaveable Rice Fusion Aromatic Pilau (2 for £1.09) ... big plateful of nosh, £3.50.

    :)

    No waiting for a table!

    Sex
Exercise (esp a long walk or cycle ride)
    Beautiful countryside
    Masturbation (sorry but it's true)
Cooking a really nice meal, even for one
Dancing like a nutter to my favourite music
    Beethoven's 6th Symphony
    Good cheese
Reading a good popular history book
Pottering around the house/garden depending on the weather
    Learning something new
