There are rumours that it has landed somewhere in Merseyside, but as it is Saturday night and appear to be based on the helicopter being up, have to be taken with a pinch of salt.
Meanwhile though there are alerts coming through that the same has happened in Sweden/Norway and landed in Norefell, SW Norway. Given that this one cannot have passed over the UK and the one that flew over the UK could not have then gone on to Norway/Sweden, is it possible that a much larger object has broken up on entry into the earth's atmosphere?
It's possible, but IIRC meteorites often hang out in big groups anyway - remnants of something that broke up aeons ago.Do you know anyone who's bereaved? Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.0 -

In 85 /86 I saw what looked like a plane coming down in flames at night over south London. I lived under the flight path to Heathrow and there had been an attempt by terrorists to blow up an airliner, and I assumed that was what I'd seen.
Expected to see it in the news but never saw any mention of it ever again. I realised I'd seen a meteor burning up, and started to wonder how common it was. Never seen anything like it since.
On an earlier topic I've found out the auction was genuine, although I've got to wonder how easy it would be to find bargains when the publicity and advertising and venue is that big. I don't like to get in a bidding war for anything I want and when I do online auctions I use a sniper website. Was tempted to go, but now I'm thinking there'll be an army of peolle after the same thing so I'm not going to waste my time. Time to walk the dog!;)There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -

I don't know what I think on this lir. I'd like to see big drug barons taken out of the picture, though it does worry me that they would just set up legitimate businesses in their place. It would also be good to know what's in stuff, so that people don't die from taking a bad batch. However I also worry that people are frequently taking little enough responsibility for their lives and what impact the introduction of legalised drugs would have on that. People rationalise things in strange ways and I think it could have unintended consequences. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? It's really strange you should mention that. Back then my parents saw exactly the same thing, but over Watford. As you say, it wasn't on the news and in the pre-internet era, nobody discussed it. Maybe the south had its meteor moment back then.
What were you trying to get online btw? I seem to have missed that bit. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Ss555ss asked about contact lens (pages back).
I've only ever used the daily disposables, as I can't be bothered with starting a cleaning and soaking regime. The most cost saving way is to sign up to the occasional use plan that gives you 30 lenses (x2) every 3 months. Provided you are wearing less than this you will eventually build up sufficient back log to put your direct debit on hold and only pay the £11 a month every 6months. I could leave the scheme completely. It the free contact lens check ups and the half price glasses make it worthwhile staying in the scheme. Plus they always send vouchers for discounted eye tests for friends, so OH and I just swap vouchers.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Intgeresting! I never met anyone who saw it at all. It was like a silent streak of flame which quickly vanished.
The auction business was bout my earlier post where I was trying to find out if an auction advertised in my local freesheet was a scam or genuine. Seems to be genuine. Not looking for anything in particular but my dad needs a new computer to link to his kindle, ipad and tomtom (he's no luddite like me!).
Just bought daughter a macbook on ebay for her 18th, and was so impressed I'd be tempted to move on to a new machine myself if I had the money (which I don't).
Personally I've found ebay to be reliable and trust it. Paypal's a disaster and scares the heck out of me, after a recent transaction went wrong and I found there was no way to stop it. (The problem with the transaction was that the money came out of my mortgage account not my credit card , both of which were with the same bank based in a country we both love to visit):mad:There is no honour to be had in not knowing a thing that can be known - Danny Baker0 -
Middle son saw what he thought was a shooting star while we were at my brother's house last night...we all told him he was seeing things!
Looking at the reports this morning, it appears he wasn't seeing things (it was around the time stated in the reports). We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

They would just set up legitamet business, and the offshore thing would have to be sorted out, as there are very obcious and somewhat current accounts for this money now!
People do take litle enough responsibility....as with drink and alcohol, but it seems silly to have one set of stuff legal and taxes and others illegal, untaxed, costing a fortune to police and also not monitored for content.
Fwiw, i also change my mind on it a lot but feel in keeping with my dislike of lack of choice and responsibility i tip to the legalisation opinion.....i would also ban users from sevral jobs, and possibly activities...driving springs to mind!
I have oddly disparate liberal views....legalise drugs, but i'm ok with a dna register:rotfl:.0
