    Nobody'd notice...

Lydia or any of the scientists up still? The meteorite that passed across and was seen from most of the UK travelled in a broadly south westerly direction. There are rumours that it has landed somewhere in Merseyside.

Meanwhile though there are alerts coming through that the same has happened in Sweden/Norway and landed in Norefell, SW Norway. Given that this one cannot have passed over the UK and the one that flew over the UK could not have then gone on to Norway/Sweden, is it possible that a much larger object has broken up on entry into the earth's atmosphere?

What you probably need is an efficient and reliable assistant... I happen to know of a highly qualified individual who will be available in the early part of May.

That'd free you up to be able to chat nonsense online for more hours/day.

Seeing that the Met Office tweeted - it's been my opinion that Twitter is the best tool for corporations to pass out timely and important information, to free up phone lines and inform people simultaneously of the latest situation during unusual events. This is its strength.

I agree. Twitter is amazing for breaking news. Shame about all the other carp that gets posted on it.

Stay off the bad acid Big G

No need for acid these days, I've got kids which is far stranger (LSD was a lot of fun back in the day though).

I have to say, the older I get the more I appreciate just how much fun all those extracurricular activities were in my Uni days....

Thank goodness I don't have kids....

I really wouldn't be able to tell them to behave with a straight face. :)

It's going to be a tough line to walk! If they ask me then I'll be honest. As long as they stay away from heroin, coke and amphetamines then I'll be okay with that.

TBH, alcohol and cigarettes have caused me far more problems than illegal drugs ever did.

Drug use was discussed a lot when they were trying to decide what broke me. I am in the minority also of having lost two friends from problems asociated with only cannabis. I have never smoked (at ast a vice that is not mine!) but would be worried about using it medicinally as some people have suggested, for when i really hurt. I tend to say its because io think i am the wrong sprt of person to dip my toe in, but i am not, i had no problems like that with other stuff.

I have no problem whatsoever with drug taking and feel it ehould be legalised and taxed like alcohol and cigareetes, but i feel uncomfortable with it being considered risk free. Like cigarettes and alcohol its not.
