Here's a question (well I've written it as a statement but YKWIM). According to our local rag, the racecourse near us has an auction this weekend run by Charles Phillips and Sons of Edinburgh. It's all fancy stuff like TVs, laptops, cameras.

I've only ever taken part in online auctions on ebay. Anybody ever been on one of these real ones? Is the fact it's in a major venue any guarantee it's legit.
