Even the used car salesman who tried to pull me a few years back had the sense not to try anything when I had a four-year-old with me. Indeed, his text message the day after he delivered the car began "Couldn't say this yesterday because you had your little one with you...."
You never really know, do you? Kiddo was not there when i was proached (and what was said was not so bad, that it was said at close quarters could threaten some women i think) but did not really want to take the gamble something he might pick up on was said when he was there.0 -
i've never been propositioned via SMS by a used car salesman either.
you lot have all the luck.0 -

I had a quote for a loft conversion a few years back. One of the chaps was a small, almost bald, ageing nobody. I received the written quote and a compliments slip asking me for a drink.... cheeky f*cker didn't even pay for his own stamp!
Or there was the heavily overweight and grubby/sweaty, red-faced man who fixed my back door lock ... and then invited me to go to a steam rally with him. pfft
Being propositioned in your own home is vile.0 -
