    Yes, but i don't watch that. :D
She owns some trucking firm. She came up with some distribution system called Pal-Ex.

She was in the RAF, then moved to London.

So, butch bird does manly job, learns stuff in that, heads to London, scares the bejeezus out of some banking types who like a woman to be stern with them .... and sets up firm.

She was on the telly as The Business Inspector, you probably saw that.

I'm sure she's very nice, but I don't think I'd want her sticking her nose in my business  She reminds me of one of those Ladies in Little Britain.:rotfl:

Weather here today was warm and mostly sunny; it's been like that for days. Just had ONE night over a week ago when my screen was frozen, so that's what we call "winter" round these parts and I don't expect the same to happen for another few years.

    :)

DD back to normal! Off painkillers and fighting fit! Sent her back to school today.

Good luck with the job interview Chewie.

I reckon anyone would need a pay rise to pay the price of beer in your neck of the woods, if I'm guessing right. Beer (well lager)'s over £4 a pint at a local hostelry named after a monarch.

I feel like passing a law that every second pub should be a wetherspoon's with prices that don't look like somebody's telephone number.

There aren't many pubs around here named after monarchs, the only one I can think of is the Queen Victoria. That's one of the cheaper ones, still under £4 in most places though.

Trouble with making every other pub a wetherspoons is that then every other pub would be infested with 'orrible drunks who hang around outside the front door from 9am waiting for it to open. I think id rather pay £4 a pint.

It's been that long since I have been to a pub, I have no idea what a pint costs on average here.
We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.

Morning peeps. I have a problem and not sure what to do, can I kindly ask for ideas from the nice people? I managed to knock part of a glass of Sulpadene co-codamol over my laptop yesterday, went to sit down at laptop to have Sulpadene, had a spasm and knocked it over.

I think I have knackered it as it doesn't even switch on now, though leaving to dry out. It is backed up but that's not the point, I haven't even had it that long and although I have it insured the excess is high. I think the effervescent codeine may be acidic so goodness only knows what it has done. No milk or sugar in this one but still not good news.

My idea is to take the battery off and sit it in a warm place to dry out overnight. They say that if you drop your mobile in water then sit it in a cup of rice grains and that sucks the moisture out but I'm not sure if it's the right thing to do with a laptop.

The rice grain trick worked for my memory stick that went through a laundry wash. The rule seems to be don't activate a current in a gadget with liquid present.

On the other hand ther may be solutes that will leave a residue when it dries out so it may need further attention further down the line.

That's a relief, did they identify the problem?
