... can be only in 2 places : a) in bed b) in her lounge watching tv or reading. Her lounge curtains are open and without fail, every night she is sitting there. Not much chance of falling because she can't get out of her chair or bed unaided, the nurse/carer visits often and assists.
It's no life is it .... sitting alone all day, unable to do a thing, waiting for the next time a random carer turns up for 10 minutes.

LOL. No. Calls are booked via a soulless call centre. Efficient, but no bribery's possible. It's a question of understanding their systems and how to circumvent them.

Thanks Wheezy, you are a lovely chap and I knew you would put my mind at rest.

    Thanks!
By the way....how will you be watching the F1 races only shown on Sky this year?
For me it will be either a pub with Sky showing F1 (but won't the majority show footy when there's a game on?) or trying to catch a live stream online.

I have Sky so it is a no brainer for me. Due to DH and my conflicting schedules: I work compressed hours but have most weekends off, he has a shift pattern; I work evenings but he starts early, we have a lot of time at home by ourselves. This is why I'm quite often on here (though not that often in the daytime, more so early morning and eves) and we have the TV for in-house entertainment. I'm the main F1 fan but we will watch together.

We also have Sky Sports because he's an American football fan, though that goes this time of year for the Summer as we don't watch other non-terrestrial sports. As long as you have Sky high def (which we do) the channel is "free". With standard def and a sports subscription the channel is also free, though I can't imagine there are that many people who go to the trouble of subscribing to sports without HD these days. At the moment we also have Sky Movies, but I never watch that so that will go too, with sports.

Edit : I see now this new design is something imposed by FIA for safety reasons, but it just looks wrong....

    Today's Express headline:

Most recent weather observations from the Scott-Amundsen base on the South Pole is -35C.

Is that cold enough so that if you throw a cup of coffee into the air from upstairs, it freezes on the way down and gives anyone standing below a headache?

Weather observations: snow not gone. Want to stay in bed. Can't.

At the weekend one of the horses turned out their feed onto the ground, where it froze instantly, much the the horse's disgust. If its hot this summer i might try the fry and egg thing not far from that part of the yard.

Yeah, the sheep are not lovin' it at the moment. Had to remove a layer of ice over an inch thick from their water this morning.

Anyway... this is the ULTIMATE in snowball fighting gear, http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TYaDgEQSIo&feature=related .
