Very English attitude. Sod the people, the animals are suffering!!!
Hope you are all looking after yourselves in the cold weather, checking on elderly neighbours etc..
I did try to put lir first:o.
The weather here is really strange. It snowed at the weekend, then thawed and has been frozen solid since. So you have these oddly shaped and very lethal ice patches everywhere. For most of the pavement you can walk around safely, then you have to negotiate a 3 metre patch of ice with no other route. Not at all like the normal English weather of dump snow, have a moan about it in the papers, thaw. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I saw my neighbours out and about and asked if they were OK, they reminded me that they were only in their early 60s.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. I don't think of my next door neighbours as elderly, I suppose they are in their early 60s too. It's strange how people's perceived ages can really vary with age.
My neighbours are so busy off doing stuff like fell walking and mountaineering they are far more likely to have to come to our aid at some point:o. Really nice people too. Fantastic neighbours to have, couldn't wish for better. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? I'm the elderly neighbour, but next door are both ill and have the NHS and their elderly Mum looking after them.
Next door the other way is a horse. It's over 30 and could pop its [STRIKE]clogs[/STRIKE] hoofs any time, says its elderly owner, who's as fit as a flea.
Going a bit further, there's a couple of almost elderly clairvoyants, but they will know if they're going to be ill, I should imagine.0 -

Is it possible to keep an ear though Wheezy? The reason I mentioned it is that my favourite great aunt, who was in her 80s, had a bad fall at home and her daughter found her dead after she couldn't raise the alarm.
I'm not out to alarm or guilt trip you, but if you are in a proximity that you would hear someone knocking for help or the thud of someone falling, it is always worth checking. Obviously not feasible if where you live is detached, but ykwim. Maybe you could even agree a signal that she could knock so you know its not the heating banging or something. Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing?
