I guess PN must be halfway through her kebab stock by now.

    I've never eaten frozen kebab.
They're not as fab as a fresh one.... and there are currently two on the market that I have access to. Lidl and Morrisons. I'd say Lidl are a little better than Morrisons. Both are about £1.20 for two.

Lidl have a kebab in a folded paper bag and a sachet of chilli sauce. Morrisons have a kebab in a sealed thin plastic bag and a sachet of chilli sauce.

Put the bag unopened into the microwave, microwave for 2-3 minutes (turning once). Meanwhile boil a kettle and drop the sachet of sauce into a mug of hot water.

    Simples.

At about 60p for a quick snack they are passable. Of course, the proper solution would be to get that "Takeaway Secret" book and make up the kebab stuff in there, then freeze that in portions - and buy (or make) some pitta breads and freeze those and sweat down some onions and freeze those in portions ... and get a bottle of chilli sauce. Or, do as I do and save all that faff ... by buying them ready-made :)

I joined late 2008 to ask some questions and to read a bit more about the Icesave refund process.
After that, I mostly lurked. (there were quite some interesting threads back then compared to all the trolling nowadays) Didn't post in NPT threads until halfway into NPT2, late to the party as always...

I suppose I'm recognisable too if someone who knows me reads the NPTs.
So yes, NP's, whenever you are around the Middlesex/Surrey borders and you see a slightly overweight balding belgian man trying to keep a silly westie under control, that's probably me! :D

Lydia has a sockie? Now i really cannot keep up.

Not where you're likely to read it. Suppose (to take a hypothetical example) I wanted to ask a question on the benefits and tax credits board about my tax credits - the sort of question that would involve revealing details of exactly how much my income is. I'm not going to put that out there under an ID that's easily identifiable to most of my acquaintance as me. So I might post that under a different name, reply once or twice to respond to the advice given, and disappear again. It's not very exciting - just a practical response to the knowledge that LydiaJ is no longer properly anonymous.

I haven't got a wildly fictitious sockie posting lurid stories on the relationships board - sorry if that disappoints anyone. :D

Tyre performance in the wet deteriorates rapidly below about 3mm tread - change yours when they get dangerous, not just when they are nearly illegal (1.6mm).
Oh, and wear your seatbelt. My kids are only alive because they were wearing theirs when somebody else was driving in wet weather with worn tyres.

Mymmother is going to be in the country for a while and can have big dog for a while.

I don't much approve of pushing animals pillar to post, but both dogs could do with some one on one time, and having just dog dog means we can work a bit on training and discipline. At the very least it would give an opportunity to neuter them and give them some quiet recovery time.
Its not decided yet, apart from big dog being spayed.

When LNE died, I had a choice - keep the important things in my life hidden from my friends on here and retreat into utter superficiality, or compromise my anonymity. I chose the second. I'm well aware that anybody who knew me IRL would recognise my story if they came across "Lydia" on here. However, I'm happy that if kids I teach wanted to stalk me, they wouldn't be able to search for me here, and they'd be very unlikely to come on this board by chance. Also, people that only know me on here would have to work pretty hard to track me down IRL, I hope.

There was a story in the paper recently about cars catching fire spontaneously and I wondered if it was part of your LNEs story. Then I thought it too wierd that VL cross to RL.

I've got the Takeaway Secret recipe somewhere if you want it....... I'll assume you're vaguely interested and I'll find it.

    Edit: http://earner.hubpages.com/hub/The-Takeaway-Secret

The book is on my "must buy" list - as I was following the big thread, but tracking down the recipes I was most interested in was a little harder as it's all copyright stuff :)

No. Not fire. I doubt the kids' injuries would have been as minor as they were if it had been fire. Will PM you.

ETA Oooh! My 2000th thanked post! Thanks for all the thanks, everyone. :)
