    I've been Money Tipped!
my mum's parenting style was based entirely on tutting at me, and smacking me for six occassionally. i like to think it didn't do me any harm, as i would have turned out this bad regardless.

she certainly didn't fuss over much, and wouldn't have dreamed of wasting her time packing a lunchbox for me!

There was a period of time my kother mad elunch boxes. Complicated by the fact i got bored of sandwiches very easily and refused soup. Looking back i am touched by how hard my mother tried. We fnally discoverd i liked coleslaw sandwiches with ham or chicken. Or cucumber. I also liked pbj..it was hard in uk because back then people still tought itnwas really weird and alien. I know some still do! Big failed attemps at nice lunches included the ornage juice yogurt thing that curdled and date and cream cheese sandwiches.

I try to make sweets a treat, not a right, but they're given sweets and chocolate all the time by the grandparents etc. and sweets just get bigger and bigger. The in laws think nothing of giving them a 125g bar of Aero each. DS's favourite chocolate is a Snickers Duo. He complained when I once bought him a regular bar. He calls it a 'small one' and DD thinks that an entire Chocolate Orange is fine to eat in one sitting. There's barely a day that DD doesn't have a packet of Haribos in her book bag because it's someone's birthday.

i actually rarely (difficult to remember but probably no more than once a month, if you don't count the times i beat up some kid in the playground and stole his walkers) saw chocolate and crisps until i was about 10, at which point we got a cleaner who used to give me and my sister chocolate bars, as it turns out she thought our parents were neglecting us by not feeding us chocolate at every possible opportunity.

Well... as you've probably spotted.... I'm catching up.

Just completed/submitted/paid my tax return - there were an extra 2 days granted as they had some strikes, and I had more important things to do so left it until the very very last minute.

    All done and dusted now.

I've no "tricks and perks" in my self employment, it's all black/white and straight forward.... but I was sailing so close to the wind that I nearly didn't pay any tax/Class 4 at all. 2011-2012 will be interesting, bet I don't pay a bean in that one as this current year's completely been trashed by the events which have overtaken me.

I now deserve a few days "mental chill" .... before I attack the rebuilding of my empire with a vengeance.... just in time to abandon it again to its own devices as by then I'll be moving again.

If you open up a new card .... that'd be quicker.
Then transfer that amount to the new card.
Then get me a duplicate card of your new card.
    Simples.

Re healthy eating etc..... today I started with a good cooked breakfast of two toasted muffins and two scrambled eggs, with a splash of brown sauce.

Post-tax return I celebrated with a microwaved kebab.

Can you pay for it on a cashback credit card??

I paid mine, in full, probably also the July payment (in advance) so I don't have to worry about it ... and I stuck it all on my debit card.

Paid, done, dusted.... I can forget anything about tax returns now until 30th January 2013.
