Take care BoF..and yes see if DS2 will tell you what's going on with school..minor ailments are often a sign that kids are not happy.

Have a great time at the concerts! Am pretty envious! But as Fortune says, there have to be lilies in the way as we inch forward to DFdom :D so enjoy :)

  • Cyclone Lusi is currently hammering the North Island. Very, very strong winds here but as yet no rain. Fingers crossed that it doesn't cause any damage. I'm a little worried about one particular tree in the gardenwhich is already leaning!

It's going to be an expensive day today. Hair cuts for me and DS's, followed by birthday present shopping for DS2 who turns 16 in about 2 weeks! Then DH and me have a wedding to attend tonight.

  • Stopping by very briefly in my lunch break. Heading to Auckland this afternoon for a few days. Queens of the Stone Age/Nine Inch Nails concert tonight and then Waiheke Island tomorrow, followed by a night or two with some friends. It's going to be an expensive few days but we have budgetted so all money accounted for.

It's the first time we are leaving the boys at home alone, although we have our boarders so they'll keep an eye on them. I think the boys are looking forward to having the house to themselves. Not sure what state it will be in when we return!

Hope everyone is well and I hope to catch up early next week. :D

  • Just a quick post to say all is well. We had a fantastic time at the concert and thoroughly enjoyed our few days together. I will post a longer update in the next day or so but for now we are having a takeout curry to celebrate DS2's 16th birthday! Where does the time go?
