We're all well thanks brizzle. Have managed to read a couple of diaries but not managed to post yet this week. Lots going on at home and work.Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

It's been a few days since my last post. It's been a crazy old week and I'm still trying to get myself into the routine of working my new shift. It's starting to get busier at work, building into our busiest season which is May/June/July/August.
The company I work for is also going through a restructure but it's still at the draft stage. The new proposed structure was announced on Thursday and we have two weeks to give feedback. My position is safe it's mainly the management level that is changing.
It's been so hot here this week (and no, I'm not bragging). I struggle with this heat - it's not too bad today because we have a breeze for in the main it's been between 25-30 degrees all week with 80-90% humidity! I keep coming home from work or the gym and falling asleep. Not good.
A large chunk of last weekend was spent trying to remove a tree trunk in the back garden. It's been causing us problems on and off for about a year. It's slow, thirsty work in this weather. About a third of the way through. Still undecided about what to do with the space as we've had to remove all the pavers. Still time to decide on that later.
Our boarder's fiance has moved in this weekend so we spent some money and bought some decent cupboards for our garage. We have lots to store in there. So yesterday was spent building 4 cupboards and sorting the garage out, ready for our new boarder to store a some of her furniture.
On a positive note, we will be receiving more rent for the two of them, but they will be paying less rent each. So win, win for all of us. :j
DS1 went to his first 'adult' birthday party yesterday where there was alcohol. We told him he could have a couple of drinks and he seems to have stuck to his promise.I always worry about him because he can be very easily led due to his Aspergers. He came home early in the afternoon and promptly fell asleep.
A friend of mine, breeds alpacas and either spins the fleece into wool herself or has it professionally done. She doesn't have the time to knit/crochet all the wool herself so has given some to me to work with. We're hoping this is the start of a new venture and we have a potential outlet for the finished goods. We need to go over it in more detail but it has the potential to be a nice little sideline business.
I hope to catch up with everyone's diaries in the next couple of days but that's it from me for now.

Two very busy days to start the week off. I seem to have had all the complicated calls at work. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.
Had a lovely made up dinner. A concoction of chicken, bacon, veges cooked in garlic and coconut cream. It was delicious. One of that meals that left me wanting more.
Our boarder's fiance moved in at the weekend so this week should see an extra $70 coming in. Very useful and will go towards the credit card to try and pay this off a little earlier.
Off to go work on a shawl I am crocheting. I need some 'me' time.Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

Yesterday I woke up with a headache that stayed with me all day. It didn't help that I seem to have been getting all the difficult calls this week. I think I must have a label on my forehead saying "any calls out of the ordinary, give them BoF".:p
To top my day/week off, Mr BoF rang immigration when we got home as we were told our citizenship ceremony was coming up on 3 March. We confirmed with them several times but hadn't received the confirmation letter that they assured us would be with us early this week. Anyway, long story short we were told no, don't know who told you that but it's the 28th April!! To say I was upset is an understatement.Of course, we will put a complaint in but not until after we're officially citizens. :rotfl:
On a positive note, my headache has disappeared today. I can't say my calls improved much today but definitely not as difficult as the beginning of the week.
Nothing much to report on the finance front. Other than Mr BoF buying lunch today, we have not spent any money this week so far. Will update my signature on Saturday.Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

Think it's a combination of stress and heat plus I now have an eye infection so that could have been the cause of the headache. So, now get to put antibiotic drops in my eyes!
I know 28 April isn't that long to wait it's just it's not next week! We were getting so excited about it.Thankfully have managed to get the day off work, which is a relief.

Another $40 spent on the doctors and prescriptions. My eye infection still hasn't cleared up fully so more drops for that and I'm having trouble with my knee. I can't remember if I've mentioned it but I'm been having trouble with my foot. A blood test showed nothing untoward but then last week my knee got sore and painful (same leg as sore foot). Anyway, another visit to the doc's and he's sending me for an x-ray, wants to check whether it might be osteo-arthritis.
Good news is that he said I should continue going to the gym. He doesn't think the soreness is due to muscular problems. I just have to be careful and not overdo it.
Our budget for this month is looking okay, a little tight for the next fortnight but that's partly because we're away for a couple of nights. Mr BoF and me are going to the Queens of the Stone Age and Nine Inch Nails concert in Auckland.:D
DS2 was off school again today, that's the fourth day he's had off in 6 weeks. I'm not happy about it as it always seems to be minor ailments, e.g. headache or sore tummy. Haven't discussed it with Mr BoF tonight as he didn't get home from work until late but I do wonder if there is something going on at school that we don't know about. Oh well, will leave that for another night. My heads too full of other things and i'm too tired to deal with it tonight.
Hope everyone is having a good week.Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

Not much to report today. Although am feeling a little chirpier today. Perhaps that's the painkillers for my knee working their magic.
Had a quick chat with my dad. All is well there this week. I don't think I mentioned it previously but he's just been diagnosed with Diverticulitus and has had a couple of small medical procedures in the last two weeks. He's waiting for an appointment to see his consultant but all in all he's feeling good compared to a couple of weeks ago. Such a relief.
I'm going to love you and leave you all tonight as I'm going to spend a happy hour crocheting before bed.Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All
