Yay! We finally have rain. :j We'll need a heck of a lot more of it but it's a start. The whole North Island and parts of South Island have been declared drought zones. Hopefully the sun is on it's way to you guys in the UK. Sounds like you could do with some.
Mr F has booked a date for the insulation to be installed and also booked to have a replacement garage door and motor fitted. We haven't been able to open our garage door for the past 6-8 months.
DS1 failed his maths test miserably, despite the fact we paid for some private tuition for him.He had to have a meeting with his teacher about why he should be allowed to stay in the maths group (he's doing maths with calculus). As he showed he had talked it through with us and what he was going to do, he is currently allowed to stay in the class. The biggest problem for him is actually sitting the tests. He gets so nervous his whole hand is shaking and then he doesn't read the questions properly. He is getting them right in class. The teacher has said she may turn his desk the other way for the next test, so watch this space... However, he got a merit in his science test and he didn't think he had done so well.

I feel DSs pain re tests. I've suffered with test angst throughout my life despite being bright and good at things. I put myself under so much pressure to succeed I end up struggling. Perhaps you could look into some confidence building type course for him as I'm sure that would have helped me

Unfortunately due to his aspergers, DS1 is naturally anxious and usually a pretty poor sleeper too. Will keep an eye on him and see how he goes.Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

We got approved for a new credit card today, 1.99% on balance transfers for 9 months.
Just in time as our previous cc special rate runs out in 2 weeks. It's the best deal around at the moment so pretty happy. Although will be even happier when it's paid off.
Won a spot prize at work today for finding a 4 leaf clover in my breakfast muffin (a piece of spinach really) but still won a little box of Ferrero Roche.
Sewn up holes in DS1 and DS2 school trousers. Don't think DS1's will last too much longer. It's about the third time they've been sewn up. Still I can't complain, this is his third year of wearing them. :rotfl:
Chilli con carne made for dinner and leftovers put in fridge for tomorrows' lunch. Yum.Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

Just a quick update today, as not very eventful, apart from one customer hanging up on me at work.
How rude of him! Still, he was a grumpy sod so best he speak to someone else if he can't be bothered to wait until I bring his notes up on screen. :rotfl:
I'm loving the car sharing that Mr F and I are doing. Mr F usually drives so I can relax on the way to and from work, which is great. We usually get all the work talk over and done with before we step foot in the house.
Have just paid my car registration renewal in full for the next 12 months. This after paying Mr F's car rego a couple of weeks ago and his Warrant. We still have a little money left in the pot to pay for my warrant, which is due in a couple of weeks. Wouldn't have been able to do that, this time last year! :j
DS2 came home with a cut on his head today after standing up in the gym, without first looking to see if there was anything above him. I'm surprised he doesn't have a headache. Funny, he announced it to the world via Facebook but hasn't even told me. So, I guess he must be feeling okay.Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

Anyone else had any problems loading mse today? It has been really slow and taken ages to load.
For some reason i woke up feeling really grumpy and emotional today. Can't even blame it on the hormones. I was still in a bad mood even after a visit to the hairdressers. Mr F, Ds1 and me went shopping for Ds2's birthday present while he wasn't here. A dress shirt and shaver from us and a cd from ds1.
Mr F then treated me to a couple of cardigans, really nice ones and different to anything i normally buy. I then had a makeover in a dept store and bought a new mascara, lip pencil and lipstick. Shame we aren't going out tonight. Just about to enjoy tandoori chicken and rice so best get off here.Diary: Conquering Debts Once and For All

Hope you are feeling less grumpy now and enjoyed the food.
The joys of Facebook, it's amazing how much info some put on there but then don't talk about face to face. Glad DS is ok though
