Morning Chums ,
well the sky is looking a bit grim this morning.A wet and drizzly day looks like it's on the way. My joints have been kicking off all night so that's usually a better sign than the weather forecast. I intend to stay indoors in the warm today .I have a bit of reading to do for my course on Tuesday. Not too bad an Iris murdoch book. This afternoon my eldest DD and GD are coming to help me finish off the last of my birthday cake. They are off to New York tomorrow for a week.I think it's even colder out there. She is going to find the site for my computer, where in Times Square they will stand on Monday, and wave to me on the web-cam. It's amazing as I can then see them whilst sitting at my computer in Kent live .They did this a couple of years ago, and I still can't get over the technology. I hope all the folk at the 'Meet' today in London have a fantastic time and Aussielass will take lots of memories back home with her .Looking forward to seeing some photo's Rzl. Have a great time everyone.
<<<hugs>>> to those in need.Just looked out again and it's started to rain even more now .Definitely a day for keeping in the warm I think, have a good one everyone
Cheers JackieO xx0 -
Shez - Hope you are not too shook up by this. Horrid thieving so and so's. They probably went for your car as unfortunately older ones are easier to take (apparently!) The newer ones have so much security that they are not easy to steal so thats probably why. But its not nice having this happen. Hope it doesn't cost too much to sort out. (((hugs))) xx Hope you can still get to the meet.
Hope everyone going to the meet have a good day - have a drink for us at home won't you? bbxxIf you don't have something nice to say don't bother saying anything at all.0 -
Good morning all, I hope is every-one is ok. Glad to hear that the west midlands is mainly wet snow now as i am scheduled to travel up there today to see my daughter and her family. I will be driving a rental car and intend taking my time rather than speeding up the motorway.I have 2 grandsons age 1 and 2 1/2,so with my ds age 4 that will be quite a party.
This morning i have to finish packing,(rental car is smaller than i am used to) so that will be a challenge.I also have to leave the house in some order as i hate coming back to a mess.Dd age 8 is waking at nights and got up at 1.30 last night, so is obviously bothered by something. One of her friends left school yesterday, so i am guessing its that.It was quite an unusual friendship as he is a boy, was bullied a bit and she sort of took him under her wing. She said people were nasty and she thought he was funny and a very nice person. She was also teased because he`s a boy but i always told her that she should always do what she thought was right.I know she`s sad he has gone. I think she is worried for him as to how he will get on at his new school too.Such a burden for an eight year old!
I hope every-one has a great time at the "meet" in London.Hugs to every-one feeling down or under the weather.I hope to log in tomorrow when I should be in sunny Birmingham, god willing.Take care all and have a great saturday. Morning everyone
Haven't been on for a few days so (((( hugs )))) to anyone who needs them - esp Shez, bad luck on the car.
Hope the meet goes well today - those of us who won't be there want all the gory details, with photos of course.
My plan today is to deep-clean my kitchen. I'm going to start with the light fitting and work my way down to the floor, cleaning and scrubbing and re-arranging as I go.
DD has had a weird ear infection that was flaring up then calming down then flaring up again, etc. A course of what looks like horse tablets seems to be doing the trick but getting her to swallow them is quite an effort.
have a great day everyone. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Hi Yall, Damp and dull here in the emids, that's the weather - not me. LOL
I'm up fairly ealry for a Saturday becuase Mrs MATH is off to do a craft demo somewhere in Nottinghamshire today. Cue the hairdryer set to cyclone speed going off at 7:45am. She did bring a cup of coffee and a croisant up tho!
Today I and Miss MATHLETT will be trawling the contents of her wardrobes and shoe box, chucking out what is too small and "so last season, dhaaarlink" and then plundering the treasure of the 'too big bag' of send downs from my cousins daughter.
This safto we will make a trip to the charity shop to drop chuck-outs off and Miss MATHLETT has an appointment for her new hairstyle, I think it is called 'The Pob'
The boys are being despatched to their grandmothers for safekeeping and hopefully I will remeber to collect them before dusk. LOL
Dinner tonight will be HM hotdogs with a vat of fried onion, green salad, chips and baked beans.
Have a good day
