Well, have just been out, and it's not an experience that I'm keen to repeat, so am staying in for the rest of the day! It's blowing a gale, and is absolutely freezing, and the hailstones are drifting across the road in waves: it's that really weird light hail which reminds me of polystyrene - it looked really bizarre. Thankfully got to the post office and the shop, which sorted out tonights tea - they had some lovely braising steak on offer so picked that up with a bag of casserole veg, so will pop that in the oven later. My kinda dinner - not too much preparation, and no hassle cooking
Also got a pack of chocolate eclairs (well, they were yellow stickered so I couldn't resist)

Well, I have some HM lemon and white choc muffins, a range of everyday biscuits for the early arrivals. Then some beer and wine for later. Do you want to bring nibbles? Or chocolate brownies - they sound good!

Afternoon all!
Have fun at the meet people and (((hugs))) to all who needs them.
Miserable day this morning here - was chucking it down. DH is still poorly and is tucked up on the sofa watching the rugby. Popped out to the market to pick up some lovely fish this morning - we have a lovely guy who comes twice a week - and got some smoked haddock for pie this evening and during the week, and some monkfish tails for a fish curry as well.
Made the mistake of trying to do a Tesco shop this morning - the place was heaving and it was full of dawdlers. My blood pressure must have gone through the roof! Also checked the tyre pressures - it's free at Tesco's - but got very wet.
Not much planned for this afternoon - maybe a cup of tea and a scone before making my fish pie:rotfl:
Have fun everyone!0 -

Shez it makes you think that the cutting off hands of thieves is too good for them. The insurance is probably busy due to the snow/icy accidents over last few days.
Also feeling like my get up and go has got up and gone, must be the weather.

Just made a huge stack of home made drop scones for DDs and they loved them.
May make cauli cheese for me and DH later and have to decide what to make for the others - probably a pasta type dish.
Had a browse round the flu wiki site and it really gave me a shock to see the CDC recommendations!
Going out in the rain to get some bits and pieces from the supermarket."This site is addictive!"
