I wasn't offered a deal till I'd actually requested my pac, next day all sorts of "no handset deals" were available on either 18 month or 12 month contracts, we've two contracts and accepted 12mth vtt600 with one payment of £24 per contract in month 12. Have rang back and double checked I wasn't dreaming but its all now in place. So keep ringing till you get a deal you're happy with.

Well, one of my ctts ran out on 13th March, and I only got crap offers to stay. As I mentioned earlier in the thread, it's a very hit & miss thing whether you get a worthwhile offer out of them or not....will have to wait till November when my other one ends and see what happens then.....

phoned last night to cancel as am in month 11, was offered 11 months free and 31.50 to pay in month twelve, mentioned that friend had been offered same but had to pay only 13.50 and that i had been loyal customer for a few years,
offered 10 discount, so ended up with 500 m 100 t and pay 21.50 in month 12. as 13.50 offer had now ended
dont think i could do better than this so accepted it

need to get on to 02 now as partners contract also in month 11. see what offers they give

Gave 30 days notice on VTT1100 last month (free N70 deal with cashback from The Link taken out April last year).

Just been called by 3 Cust Services and offered 12 months contract for 500 mins + 100 texts with credit for 11.5 months added to account straight away by 3 and only £8 payable by me in month 12 provided I stay within the allowances.

Just had call from 3. (my contract ends this saturday). They have offered me, 500 mins 100 text 11 1/2 months free. They have credited £352.00 to my account now and I will only have to pay £8.00 at the end of my contract next year. THAT IS WHAT I CALL A DEAL!!! I was gonna convert this phone to a payg to give to my son (11). I have snapped up this offer as its only gonna cost me 67p a month.

I have already ordered my new phone/contract (delivered tom) se k610i 400 mins 250 text, 25 video, 25 mms and £5.00 dowloads from PBD. £35 per month, 12 months free via cashback and only £2.50 admin charge to pay for the year so that gonna cost me 21p per month plus I'll get £15.00 quidco as well (eben though it is showing as £30.00 on my quidco account!!)

I have got a choice now. Use my new phone with my old sim (then keep old number) or new phone new number (dont mind having to have new number)

The offer is only for the first selected 200 customers. So glad I answered there call as I often ignore it when I see it is from 3!!!!.

All great deals - and we got 100 mins/100 texts for 10.5 months free - so jealous of you lucky people! Has anyone ever managed to renegotiate a rentions deal two months in to the new 12 month contract? What would happen if you phoned to cancel (yes, I know you would be liable for the remainder of the contract, but for me that equates to £30 ... or do they also charge you for the phone? Bother, just remembered that my "deal" involves half price for 9 months, plus £100 approx. credit, therefore may not be possible) - not looking to leave, but could do with more mins/texts.

Finally, does anyone know if they come up with good retention deals after this year is up?

Waiting has payed off!

Asked for my 2 contract phones to go to PAYG a few weeks ago.
Got a call from 3 Customer Svcs (it said this on my phone) and they offered
500 mins, any time, any network, free for 11 months.
Pay £7.50 in month 12.
12 month contract
No cashback they just credit your account. :T
Got the same deal on each phone.
It looks like the wait until 4/5 days before you're about to leave the contract before making these offers.

Twas a tough decision (I don't think)
