3 Talk and Text 700 Termination

I have a 12 Month Talk and Text 700 contract with 3 that is coming to an end - what are the best deal people have got on retention with this contract?

Also does it make a difference if you phone up cancel and ask for your pac code or just phone up and cancel - presumably you can still get your pac code up until the end of your last month with them?

go through the "thinking of leaving" option, tell them you're cancelling. I did it today, on my VTT350. Offered me SE610i on same tariff, worked out at £80 for the year by direct credit to your bill, or keeping my phone, same tariff £60 for the year, again by direct credit. They also said if you wanted a certain handset, the line rental offer would differ. Depends on the cost of the handset.

Thanks, but that is going to cause extra hassle as I want to keep my number, and last time I tried you couldn't use a pac code from a phone company to import a number to the same company.

What other good 3 retention deals have people got?

It all seems to depend on what tariff you are currently on, when you give notice, what tariff you want to continue on, whether you want a new phone or not, etc., etc.,

Or in other words, it doesn't appear to be the same for everyone, best to see what they offer and try haggling

Well I spoke to them and they offered me on talk and text 600 (?) tariff (500mins + 100txts) equivalent of 10 months free with no new hand set, or 8.5 months free with a SE K610i.

Hi nb,
can you give me the full details of the contract they offered you ? are they offering you 8.5 months free on a 12 months contract and how much is it per month? I need a new phone .I need ot talk to them in a couple of days.

The deals I was offered on the phone to them were only 12 months

Hi all
Just been on the phone to three. They offered me SE K 610i 7 months free on 12 months contract ie 150 quids for a year. Without the phone it is 10 months free. When I mentioned the 8 and half months free deal on 12 months contract they said that they have not offered it to anyone!!! nb do you know whom you spoke to?

BTW, does the K610i have one of those stupid little joysticks on it ?? Haven't had chance to find it in a shop yet, but all the pics I've seen on the web make it hard to tell if it's a joystick or a button.....
