    Why's that better than ebay?
Can you sell it as 'New' if unopened?
    How much you selling for?

Where on the Selftrade website is the transfer or withdraw options, I can only view a statment or do you have to phone them?

    Thanks
  • Just received my Kindle!

Am I the first person to receive theirs?!
  • just received mine :j
The acompanying letter said something abuot enclosed instructions on your warrenty & registration with Amazon?

I couldn't see anything specific... Am I missing some paper / proof of purchase which allows me to register a warrenty with amazon?

    thanks

Kindles are sold by amazon so it might be better to sell it on there as there might be more of an audience. Not sure exactly what commission Amazon make from any sales but it might be less than the 10% selling fee plus a few pennies to list that eBay charge. Not to mention the almost obligatory few quid you will end up paying in paypal fees.

Just speculating on reasons to want to sell on Amazon, I am selling mine via my local newspaper and hopefully pocketing all the selling price I achieve :)
  • No I was wondering about that myself. Did you receive a delivery note with the letter?

You register the Kindle on the device itself when you switch it on for the first time:

    http://www.amazon.com/gp/help/customer/display.html/ref=hp_register_k4i?nodeId=200769670

Since you associate it with your existing Amazon account it doesn't ask for your name and address. I assume this registers the warranty but I'm going to email Amazon to ask to make sure.

    Project Gutenberg is one.

Amazon itself has a lot of free books too.
  • Just to say mine arrived the other day. Box is a lot smaller than I thought it would be.

Now to see if I can sell it...
  • I thought I'd share this here as no-one else has posted on this. I took a while to open the account and had to send an actual copy of my driving license (which I got back later on) to avoid paying for a solicitor to certify a copy! The account was opened on about the 20th and I sent in my ISA transfer form with the account opening documents to try and get it rushed through as quickly as possible. My old ISA was closed down on the 26th & the details sent through to selftrade and I was convinced I had no chance of getting the Kindle as they said it would take 4-8 weeks for the ISA to transfer through. Anyway, I randomly received a package from CityLink yesterday and it was a brand-new Kindle! AWESOME! :)
