DMP & Mutual Support Thread - Part 8

Hi all,
Tomorrow I send off all the stuff to cccs. Am having a panicv attack that they will reject it. Is this possible? My main concern is my wage that includes a bonus scheme. The bonus has remianed constant for over 20 years but not sure if cccs will accept this. I feel sick with worry. Everything else on my budget and creditors list is accurate.
Hope you are all doing ok.

DFD - 11.07.2019 (OMG).
New DFD is 28.10.2018 due to paying the absolute maximum.
Thanks to everyone on the DMP forum, and to SC for helping me out of this huge hole.0 -

Hi G1W. They won't reject it. Never heard of CCCS rejecting people unless they have broken the terms of their agreement. I'm sure there is a way of dealing with the bonus scheme. You can't be the only person on a DMP that has a bonus scheme at work. It will be fine, please try not to worry.DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

hi G1W,
please believe me when i say i was in exactly your shoes this time last year. i was a total mess, under the doctor on anti depressants and was lucky to get through each day.
the CCCS wont reject you and once everything is set up you will be fine. the one thing i have learnt over the last 12 months is that fearing the unknown is far worse than what the reality actually is. i had thoughts of what if this or that happens and do you know what, the things i was so scared of never actually happened.
keep your chin up and in a few months time you too will be giving this exact advice to another newbie and be settled into your DMP.0 -
G1W i asked CCCS what about any one off payments i recieve as i too get a bonus however its not necessarily the same and with current economic climate cant guarantee it. They said its your choice if you wish to use some or all of it as a one off payment or to increase payments so will wait and see what comes.
On my front my salary came into my new account no problem today and transferred enought to cover my DD's at old account. Very concious of spending any money today hope this continues.
Hope you have a good weekend allLBM Sept 2012

Hi Guys
Just wanted to give you an update. 5 years go we were at our wits end and staring bankruptcy in the face. We started a DMP with payplan and are now into our final months of plan (approx 9 to go).
it has not always been easy , however I can honestly say it is the best thing we have ever done.
i cant believe the money that we wasted in the past and now get so much more satisfaction when we save up for something.
good luck to all of you0 -

Hi
Great news. Thanks for the update. These forums only work if people contribute to it. Posts like this keep us all going.
What are you going to do when you have reached your DFD?

Hi HH
Thats a really good question, at the beginning I would have said buy a new car etc etc, however have kind of broken the old spending habits now! Family are more important than things...
I suspect we will decorate the house (slowly , seeking out the bargains ) and treat ourselves to a holiday (on offer of course!).
cheers

Hi All
Just starting out on the journey to debt freedom with DMP, had initial conversation with PayPlan (referred to them by LTSb interestingly enough) and just been accepted for Nationwide flex account to use once DMP set up (they are independent aren't they?) just waiting for card and cheque book to turn up - second conversation with payplan next week for more 'detail' - feeling quite fragile with all this but oddly excited that something positive is happening!
Anyone heard of Nationwide closing an account if DMP entered?
Good luck everyone

Hi Stand Fast and welcome :hello:
Well done on taking the first steps in your debt free journey :T
Nationwide are linked with Cheshire, Derbyshire and Dunfermline Building Societies. so as long as you have no debts with any of those, you will be fine
If anyone needs a list of linked creditors, there is a really useful one here:
