I recently got two pieces of silverside of beef very cheap in Morrisons, I used Chinese spices and dried tangerine peel and left them in a dish in the oven all day. The beef literally fell apart and the flavour was fantastic. There is still loads in the freezer but it's not in matching freezer boxes like yours Little Ms Geeky
That's another to try, thanks!
Here's what I bought yesterday, took the mesh off as it's going to fall apart anyway and I didn't want the mesh soaking any flavour up. Call me a meanie!
Looking forward to hearing how you get on.

I have been with Payplan for nigh on 7 years (see my sig for details), and with Payplan they setup on online account so you can log in and check the details of your payments/creditors etc and also have a facility for me to email them.
I have never had a problem with Payplan, and look forward to (hopefully) making my last payment on 2nd December this year.
I had the same nervous feelings about going on my DMP, but I am glad I did as it put ME in control of debts and not money being in control of me.
When I was waiting for my DMP to start, everyday I would get a call of HBOS and my reply everytime was that I was going on a DMP and it would start shortly and if they had any problems speak to Payplan.
Since then all I have had is Default Notices (expected) and the odd letter from HBOS agreeing my new payments as well as the odd CC statement, from the rest NOTHING.
I have been lucky duirng my DMP as I am Civil Servant working for a Department that was not likely to shed jobs, so I didnt have to worry about reducing my payments, indeed nearly every year, at annual review time, I increased them so the length of the DMP has reduced from 87 months to 84 months.
When you start the DMP, if you run into any problems, I would recommed you tell them immediately.
The most important thing to remember is that YOU are in control.0 -
Hi all,
Not posted in a long time and looking for a bit of help. Me and DH are nearly at the end of our DMP with CCCS, fingers crossed our last payment should be in February :j but recently the same issue keeps happening.
We keep getting letters from CCCS saying our last 2 creditors Tesco and Lloyds TSB are no longer accepting the DMP as the accounts are in credit. I spoke to CCCS about this and they said it's because we are paying way over the minimum payment and it's fine and they will just keep sending them the money.
Except I just got my latest statement from CCCS and they have now removed Tesco from the payments to be made this month even though there is still money owed to them.
I'm not sure what's the best way to sort this out.
Do I keep just phoning CCCS every month to make sure both Tesco and LLoyds TSB are still getting paid or would I be better stopping the DMP now and pay these last 2 debts off myself?
If we came off the DMP would Tesco and LLoyds starting hassling us again or expect us pay the remaining debt off in one go?
Has anyone been in the same situation or decided to go it alone this close to the end?
Thanks

Well done on getting to the home stretch.
This really doesnt make sense does it?
Write to LLoyds and Tesco and ask for a statement. Send your letter recorded delivery. the only way you will really know is by accessing your statements.
Why not sign upto noddle for free now and see what it say about those two accounts on there? https://www.noddle.co.uk/
I suspect what CCCS are telling you is those two accounts are paid in full, they are using the contribution that was being paid to those creditor to send to the others?
Worth posting the query on the ask a CCCS counsellor thread too.

Hi All
After years of sticking our heads in the sand and living off credit me and my other half have decided enough is enough and we are going to tackle this problem head.
We have filled out CCCS debt remedy and seeing the amount we have wracked up between us is truly shocking!
We are now in the process of setting up a new bank account and getting everything together to start our DMP however one of our major creditors is also who we hold our current bank account with! ( we have an OD two loans and a credit card)
We were hoping to send out token payments this month to our other 11 creditors who are not associated with the bank we are with at the moment, would this be acceptable and to keep paying the minimum payments/loans with our bank so they don't get wind of our DMP and try and whip all our money away?
Thank you for any advice that you can give us, its a total minefield but we are determined to get through and see the light at the end of the tunnel0 -

Welcome
That's exactly what plan I would do. Calculate the min payments to your current bank. Cancel other DDs (keep proof). Withdraw / transfer the remainder ASAP. I did a few trips to minibank. Once payments to current bank have gone out close the account (again get proof).
Don't say anything to your current bank about DMP or they may try to offset.
Don't hesistate to shout up with anymore queries.

Hi cariadqueen and welcome :hello:
We were in the same situation with current bank accounts and debts so we asked CCCS not to inform those banks until everything was fully set up and in place. They held back their payment for the first month, then we have them the ok and they paid them 2 months payments at the end of the second month.
We set up the new bank account, ensured salaries were going in and then cancelled and reset up all direct debits. A little hint is that this is an ideal time to change the date of any inconvenient DDs, we changed all of ours to the 1st of the month.
We then transferred all of our money from the old banks to the new using internet banking and gave CCCS the go ahead to start up. It worked perfectly.

Hi stelly :hello:
Well done on being so close to the finish, that light at the end of the tunnel must be shining brighter every day now :T
Do you still get statements from Tesco or Lloyds TSB? Are can you access the accounts online? If not, I would do as HH suggests and immediately ask for up to date statements.
What does your CCCS statement say is happening to your payments? Have they increased their payment to other creditors recently? I don't think CCCS's explanation makes any sense because many people must be well over their minimum payment and not be in this situation.

Thanks for replying.
We had 6 debts to begin with. 4 are now totally cleared and it's just a Tesco credit card and a Lloyds TSB card left. The problem seems to be that because we are not in arrears and are paying over the minimum Tesco and Lloyds are rejecting the DMP every month.
CCCS know this and the last time I spoke to them about it they said it's fine we'll just keep paying them.
We get monthly statements for both CC accounts and i updated CCCS 2 weeks ago so they know exactly how much is still owing but for some reason this month they have decided that Tesco don't need to be paid and LLoyds are going to get the full amount."Opportunity only knocks once.It doesnt knock, knock again, then leave a note asking you to give it a call back when you've got your s*** together".John Connolly0
