Just read this story about the shooting of the two police women on the news and I was about to have a moan because I was having a bad day. Puts all my stupid problems into perspective.
I think it must be a bad day all around. I am in a dreadful grump and feel like telling all my preditors to stick their debts where the sun don't shine!

Hi All.
Now that the DMP is sorted does anyone have any tips for keeping on top of payments and spends ?

hi guys
just thought id pop my head in and see how you all are, things here are plodding along and im managing ok at the mo
just a quick question, my first yearly review with CCCS is due in a couple of weeks. can someone tell me what happens at a review. is it all dont over the phone or do i have to send them paperwork again? id just like to have everything ready in plenty of time so thought id ask you all first.
hope everyone is well and to those just starting the journey, i know its easy to say but please try not to worry too much, a DMP is the best thing i ever did and trust me when i say that this time last year i really was at rock bottom but once i had CCCS onboard i felt like i had gained a bit of control over my life again

If its anything like the annual reviews I did with Payplan, you are asked for revised figures so a fresh budget can be sent to your creditors. I did my budgets online
Also with this new budget you can make increased payments (even if it is only £5/mth more), which happened to me a couple of times and so your creditors will be happy for another year !.
You also need to remember that a creditor can ask for a fresh SOA as and when they want.
Hope this helps0 -

Stuart - as crude as it sounds I have found that I have to get everything out of the way as early as possible. Pay all DD's / SO's inc the DMP on the 1st. I know what we spend on shopping in the month so that gets transferred to the boss. Transfer rainy day / sons saving account money etc.
Anything I'm left with I try to divvie up into the 4 / 5 weeks of the month as best I can. With everything accounted for up front I find it helps me breathe. I'm nothing thinking "i've got X in the account, and there's bound to be something to pay for".
Let me know if this works for you?Back in the game...0 -

I'm thinking that's what i need to do. Our DD's are all over the place at the moment and our mortgage comes out last, just before payday
I'm pleased to announce that this month, the first on our DMP (and also the worst this year for extras like mot etc) that we have just scraped through with a grand total of £7.30 left in the bank!
I have also created 3 more spreadsheets in addition to monthly spending (utilities/savings/ debt). I think I'm on my way to joining the geek club :rotfl:0 -
Forgot to ask - is it easy to change dd payment date? Do you have to overpay if the day you choose is after your current date?0

Your name is on the list, you are in!
Really easy to change dd date, call or email. I have most of mine out on the first, sooooo much easier.
Well done on month 1, it will start to get better too!!

There may be a slight discrepancy in the payment for that month but it'll straighten out. £7.30... not bad. At least you are in the black! Speak to your mortgage company. As long as you are paying it then they'll be fine with moving the date.
Important to get things straight with DD's / standing orders etc. I was the same. Had things out on the 1st / 15th and 28th of the month. You never know where you are with it?Back in the game...0
