Kids are remarkably adaptable. I recently took my granddaughter shopping, she picked up a £12 toy and asked could she have it, I quickly put it back explaining we could not afford it but sneaked a reduced bubble set at 50p into the basket when she wasn't looking. I gave it to her outside the shop and she was absolutely delighted, played with it all day and has had lots of refills using Aldi's superb washing up liquid since
.....and just think how long the bubbles will last with a squirt of washing up liquid!

Aldi's washing up liquid is amazing. When people ask me what did I learn from my DMP, I will say "To never buy Fairy Liquid again!" :rotfl:LBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Hi,
You may have been asked this question a million times before. I'm on a DMP with CCCS I agreed a payment with MBNA, which is one of 4 creditors that I have. I suddenly got a letter from them that they have sold my debt onto another company.
So what happens next?
thanks in advance.0 -

Hi
File it, email CCCS to let them know, keep calm and carry on

MBNA recently sold our cc debt on. As it was part of a large no of debts sold on by MBNA, when I phoned payplan they already knew. If only everything was that straightforward.
In addition to my earlier confession regarding long showers, I have a further disclosure - I am still using Fairy L!quid AND Ar!el washing powder, AND other branded cleaning products and toileteries.I don't know why. I got as far as swapping some foods like Heinz beans for Waitrose (my local shop), some cereals and then stopped there.
I think I am worried about swapping to own brands and finding I don't like it and thereby wasting the money completely.
Do you save that much by changing cleaning and/or toileteries? Is it worth sending DH to Aldi and Lidl (I'm not lazy, honest, it's just he passes them on his way home from work)?
I'm beginning to see why I am having trouble getting the grocery budget downAllypops

Aldi's washing up liquid really is amazing and it beat Fairy in both Which and Good Housekeeping tests. It's really effective and just seems to last forever. I think it's called Magnum, give it a go and see what you think.
I am an Aldi convert. Their charcuterie and cheeses are superb and their 85% cocoa chocolate is fantasticLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Hi
As some of you already now I have had problems with the Halifax reducing interest (They refused to drop below 12%) I have a complaint with FSO which is currently being looked at.
Today I received a default from them. Do you think they will now stop interest or carry on at 12%? We have been on our DMP for 12 months.0 -
BB, I don't have any debt with Halifax but my one creditor who was charging interest (l1oyds) stopped (for the timebeing, anyway) one the account was defaulted and passed to recoveries. However, they seem to make the rules up as they go along!
I think I will be giving DH an Aldi list for his next early shift (may contain chocolate):EasterBunAllypops

Ally, I think that's the problem. The ball's in their court when it comes to complying with the agreement. If they take a stance and think "no, we won't agree" then there's not much we can do.
All - take heart though, I see all of your signatures at the bottom of your pages. You are all smashing the debt up (or down). Keep the faith!Back in the game...0
