TTFTM, that sucks mightily. Can I ask is it Blair, Oliver, Scott - the reason I'm wondering is that I rang them last week to get an update on my balances - i do this regularly - and they said 'oh, by the way, your agreements with us are coming to an end', I queried whether they were going to bother telling me this and they basically said no, because they say in an early letter that it will be periodically reviewed , they can do this anytime they like. I've got them to extend the agreement for another month to get a new income/outgoings thing thro CCCS. I hope you can get it sorted TTFTM
For any newbies, I did a blog about going on a dmp with cccs, you might find it interesting: http://moneyaware.co.uk/2011/09/my-debt-hell/

It was Blair, Oliver and Scott who told me they would write to me to tell me my 6 months was coming to an end. I didn't believe them then and certainly don't believe them now!DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

Thanks all for the support and sympathy, it's greatly appreciated :T
No it's not Blair, Oliver and Scott, all of our debts are still with our original creditors. I have sent a message to CCCS via the website and will phone them tomorrow to find out what is going on.LBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

With me HBOS initially froze the interest for approx 2 years when I started my DMP and then unfroze the interest using the reason that they had done enough to help me (as though increasing my debt is going to help me !).
When they sold the debt to their inhouse DCA (Blair Oliver & Scott) the interest was frozen again and still is with approx 3 months to go till I complete my DMP.
The extra £1500.00 interest they charged I will pay as I have had an interest free loan of them for the last 7 years and so I feel morally obliged to pay - I will discuss it with them once my DMP has finished and I have paid off my other 3 creditors.
But it was made crystal clear to me that BOS *could* request an income review at 6 month (or in my case yearly intervals) and I have done annual reviews with Payplan, which have been accepted by all my creditors.0 -
Hi all,
This is a really sad tip, but I have to share it because it's also quite brilliant. I ordered a free 4 min shower timer from the water company for our electric shower, and by using it it has halved our daily electricity usage. It's only a little egg timer, but is going to shave about £15 off our monthly bill! Would recommend to all DFWs,

Em, £15 a month is a great saving :T and well worth sharing (and not a really sad tip at all
) I think we all have to get a little bit nerdy to find all those little tips to help shave off some of our outgoings especially when things keep going up in price

Hey Grow,
Don't believe a word that comes out of their mouths. I argued this with them and they said that because in one letter they send, early on, it says that it's a temp arrangement that will be subject to review, they can stop it anytime without further notice, and start whacking on the % etc.
Keep a close eye of the slippery shysters.

You are all very well behaved. I tend to plan a quick shower but somehow manage to spend at least 15 minutes in there!Allypops

I have to admit it is very hard, especially when you're tired and you just want to stand in the shower for a bit! Shower radio soinds more entertaining though! Worth it when I look at my free electricity monitor though lol! Im sure it was from the save water save money website, otherwise free stuff on there too!LBM April 2011 DMP June 2011 DFD [STRIKE]Jan 2015 Aug 2014 March 2014[/STRIKE] Ended DMP Jan 2013
