Scary stuff this isn't it?
Noticed yesterday that my old current account has disappeared from the online account list (we can see still the CC though:mad:).
Received the letter confirming this from Nationwide today and also that they will be freezing interest and charges on the £4K OD:T.
Result! (so far anyway). I'm sure we won't be so lucky on the Nationwide CC.
Payment date to them is set for the 31st (I assume they've spoken to CCCS to tie this in with their 25th release date) and they've asked for a payment of around 25% of our DMP payment (the OD is around 20% of our total debt) which seems fairly reasonable in exchange for freezing charges I guess.:)
Only problem I have is that they are stating that the arrangement is for a 3 month period(!?). I'm hoping this is them looking to review the arrangement every 3 months (they've already threatened us with KPR Debt Collection if we default).
At least we're on our way with what looks like a reasonable start to the official process.
1 response down, 7 to go!!!!:D
Nationwide or rather KPR have just let me settle my £500 OD for only £125 but sadly they were total scumbags over my £2,200 CC and took out a CCJ in May. Just going through redermination process as I pay £120 to Payplan (£11 of which is to this CC) but the CCJ is for £85 :eek:Second and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. Too right, but you will get there and this time next year you'll be sitting on your laurels:DI got home today to a letter from SimplyBe. I was so pleased I had to come tell you all right away. I got over £200 refunded to my account leaving my balance at £35!! Awesome, another one nearly gone. Off to update my signature now. Another month or 2 trimmed of my DFD i reckon! Yey me! Will have a read through after LO has gone to bed but just had to tell someone.
Yeh you! Good to hear about the successes. We win sometimes:DDMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

Hmm, looks like they'll be punishing me on the CC then!?
Not a bad settlement on the OD for you though?:D0 -

Yes, they offered 50% but I ignored it then 2 weeks later came back with 25% so I snapped their hand off!!Second and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. HAVE to do it this time :mad:0 -
my debt free journey has been very up and down since me and OH started last year. And I am worried the creditors will start to think we are playing games or something.
Did one year with CCCS, then in January this year decided to go it alone. We got so sick of having to deal with the creditors however, we decided to go back to CCCS!
Anyway, dmp was supposed to start this month, but some lovely person in America managed to clone my card and emptied my bank account:mad::mad: so I rang CCCS they were fab and advised me to send token payments of £1.We will start dmp on 1st July they said.
Anyway, Ive now got to ring them again and tell me we cannot start until August:eek: we have no savings now (did have, but all gone, long story and not going there!!!)
We cant start until August as OH's car is in a bad way and of course we cannot use credit to fix (which is not a bad thing!!)
I am just so fed up as we just want to get settled down into a regular payment routine and its not happening. worried how the creditors are going to react to yet another month of no proper payments:(
We are desperate to show them that we are sincere and are wanting to pay our debt back to the penny.
rant over! just feeling sorry for myself lol.LBM: April 2009 - honest debt figure: Secured: £0.00!! (paid back april 2017) unsecured: £53117.48 (roughly) back with CCCS starting again:(0 -

Aaaw Jasper what a tale of woe. I really feel for you. Will you get the money back that was stolen from your account? Lots of people make token payments for several months until they can get themselves back on their feet. Creditors might moan but you can't do a lot else really and it will settle down eventually.
I was supposed to get paid yesterday, but thanks to NatWest's c**k up my money hasn't gone in. It isn't in this morning either. So a frugal weekend for me:(DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421
