DMP & Mutual Support Thread - Part 8

From what I have read so far I am dreading dealing with Lloyds TSB, they sound disorganised and unhelpful.
It seems to be like a lottery how a creditor treats any individual, you just never know how they are going to be and for every horror story, there is generally someone else saying that bank has treated them well.
Good luck with your DMP and here's to you feeling a lot better now you are about to get started. You have already taken the most difficult step so well done :TLBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

My Lloyds CC says I'm on 29.9% interest, but haven't been charged any for years. Current Account is a different matter!
'Ostrich' is going to be my new word for anything finance related - as a joke and a warning!LBM - 11/08

Payplan rep Gemma.
Could you answer this.
Have made two payments to Payplan, they leave my account by direct debit on the 30th of each month.
May 30th shows up on payplan as 8/June.
Contacted payplan today and they have only made a payment to my creditors today 21/6 and will take another FIVE days to clear.
They said i have made a late payment, but payments to you clearly shows my May payment was on time as it is direct debit and i checked it left the bank on the 30th.
All my creditors have frozen interest, but cannot see them being happy if payplan cannot make the payments.
Where has the money been for 21 days
Is it better to pay by a debit card and cancel the direct debit.
I AM TRYING TO KEEP TO THE BARGAIN I MADE WITH THE CARD COMPANIES TO MAKE A REGULAR PAYMENT EVERY MONTH,BUT HOW CAN I , IF PAYPLAN DO NOT MAKE THE PAYMENTS0 -
I pay Payplan by debit card around 30th of month and it's in my account by 4th.Second and final LBM 01/01/11 Nearly got there but fell of wagon. HAVE to do it this time :mad:0

Hope you don't mind me asking, what date do Payplan pay it to your creditors?LBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Hi Squirrel.
I would also like to know, what day do your creditors get paid.
As i might change to direct debit.
This is stress not knowing if payplan, are making payments on time.
I can see a lot of late payment letters coming my way, through no fault of mine.grrrrrrrr.0 -
If you're getting late payment letters, have you told payplan? If so, what do they say?Our LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568
Oct 2012 = Current debt: £40,548.93
Oct 2013 = Current debt: £39.054.70

Scary stuff this isn't it?
Noticed yesterday that my old current account has disappeared from the online account list (we can see still the CC though:mad:).
Received the letter confirming this from Nationwide today and also that they will be freezing interest and charges on the £4K OD:T.
Result! (so far anyway). I'm sure we won't be so lucky on the Nationwide CC.
Payment date to them is set for the 31st (I assume they've spoken to CCCS to tie this in with their 25th release date) and they've asked for a payment of around 25% of our DMP payment (the OD is around 20% of our total debt) which seems fairly reasonable in exchange for freezing charges I guess.:)
Only problem I have is that they are stating that the arrangement is for a 3 month period(!?). I'm hoping this is them looking to review the arrangement every 3 months (they've already threatened us with KPR Debt Collection if we default).
At least we're on our way with what looks like a reasonable start to the official process.
