That's disgraceful, no wonder you are mad! Hope you get a result with the FOS on the case.
Just checked my bank account and my pay still hasn't gone in and there doesn't seem to be any information from Natwest as to how long this problem is going to last. I have direct debits going out of my account tomorrow and at the moment no funds to pay for them. I have spoken to my bank and they say there's nothing they can do. I hope they get this sorted soon. OH's pay doesn't go in until Thursday and we have to get petrol for work and have very little food in. Not sure what to do really. Could ask my bank for a temporary overdraft I suppose:(DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

I know HH asked me about self managing after my last post and I haven't replied so here goes.
But first, I too had problems with lenders once I got to above min payments hence one of the reasons for going it alone.
The only reason I was able to go self managed was because I am down to four creditors. If it was above that I wouldn't have been able to do it as I also have a very busy working life and it was always great to have CCCS sorting things out for me.
Being self managed now has the advantage that I have control of who and how much is paid. This means I have been able to snowball and make additional payments to the dreaded hellifax to try and reduce the amount of interest I pay.
I was also fortunate that when I went self managed capital one were doing a short 0% on their creditor builder card which I was accepted for so some of the hellifax balance was out here to try and get my payments and money working a bit better for me.
It was a difficult decision to make as I had always been so happy with CCCSs support but the time was right for me to take control again.
Take care all and hopefully the info is useful.

I was paying M&S £52 interest during my DMP now I pay them £147 interest. It's not just any debt management policy. It's an M&S tough pooh debt management policy!
Sorry to hear about the bank woes. I think they have gone on record to say they will recompense any charges incurred etc. Let us know how you get on.

This fiasco with the NatWest is appalling, one of my colleagues has just sent me a text message to say if her pay does not appear soon she won't be in work tomorrow as she has no petrol in her car and she lives 47 miles from work, even if she had the train or bus fare. I have just checked OH's NatWest online and the CCCS payment for tomorrow is showing so they must slowly be sorting some accounts out but goodness knows how long it's going to take them to sort all.

I thought I would follow someones advice on here and contact each of my CC companies before the letters go out over the next couple of days and advise them I was going to start a DMP. I rang Barclaycard and got the oversea's call centre, after answering 5 questions to acknowledge who I was they told me that the department I wanted wasn't open today..... I updated my contacts list by removing my home phone number and giving them a PAYG mobile number. I will just send the letters now - this took 20 minutes!
So - let the fun begin this week!Debts as of June 2012 - £68,986.35Now £27,470.20 :T57% of debts cleared:beer:0 -

Sounds like you are being really proactive bertman, well done :T
We find we really need to stay involved even though CCCS are distributing the money. I like the way I can update our debts online but have to confess that we have our own geeky spreadsheet with all kinds of extras too!LBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Sent off the DMP pack to the CCCS, I have a problem with one CC which was an ex Egg card, we don't have a statement or the card as this was cut up about 3 years ago, we rang Egg and they claimed no knowledge of us having the card. We rang Barclaycard but again they don't have any knowledge of the card even though we have been paying the minimum amount by DD each month. I have cancelled the DD to try and force through a paper statement. Same goes for a loan agreement with Natwest, I have asked for the last 4 weeks for a copy of the agreement but still no luck, I tried again today but the branch was in a right mess so I will try tomorrow....
How does the CCCS determine the overdraft? We only bank online so dont have any paper statements but regularly go to the max of £1000 per month.Debts as of June 2012 - £68,986.35Now £27,470.20 :T57% of debts cleared:beer:0 -

No sadly not:( They couldn't give me any idea of when the problem will be solved but they did say if I incurred any charges they would cover the cost. I received an email from my employer who said they were told the money would be through tomorrow, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. How does the CCCS determine the overdraft? I had two accounts both with overdrafts which were included in the DMP just the same as the CC's and loans. I printed off the statements and sent those to CCCS and they were happy with that.DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421
