Sorry things aren't going well and am sure we all have those rant days, I've had a few lately over the nonsense we receive from NatWest.
Have you managed to sort out your bank account? A friend recently had her bank account emptied in a similar way but the banks refunded all her money almost immediately and the police are now involved in the fraudulent activity
.
It will all work out in the end and your statement, "We are desperate to show them that we are sincere and are wanting to pay our debt back to the penny" rings very true with us, and am sure many others. We don't want to evade any of our debt and want to pay back every penny but we are sick of banks taking advantage of our situation and worsening this with added interest and charges. We will fight this tooth and nail all the way

Scary stuff this isn't it?
Noticed yesterday that my old current account has disappeared from the online account list (we can see still the CC though:mad:).
Received the letter confirming this from Nationwide today and also that they will be freezing interest and charges on the £4K OD:T.
Result! (so far anyway). I'm sure we won't be so lucky on the Nationwide CC.
Payment date to them is set for the 31st (I assume they've spoken to CCCS to tie this in with their 25th release date) and they've asked for a payment of around 25% of our DMP payment (the OD is around 20% of our total debt) which seems fairly reasonable in exchange for freezing charges I guess.:)
Only problem I have is that they are stating that the arrangement is for a 3 month period(!?). I'm hoping this is them looking to review the arrangement every 3 months (they've already threatened us with KPR Debt Collection if we default).
At least we're on our way with what looks like a reasonable start to the official process.
1 response down, 7 to go!!!!:D
Ooh letters from Nationwide today for the CC. Again, a reasonable payment amount based on the % of our debt they represent and they've frozen all charges and interest too:).
As with my previous post though, they are giving me 6mths on this and then I have to pay the minimum payment going forward!
Is this a case of CCCS negotiating again with them when the period is up? I suspect I'm going to have to fight them on the current and CC accounts all the way by the looks of it.:wall:
Bring it on!!:p0 -

Result on Nationwide:D
I think the 6 months thing is pretty standard. They want to see if your circumstances change for the better so they can start charging you again:eek: As you say when the 6 months is up you just negotiate your payment again through CCCS. If everything is pretty much the same and you have been paying regularly there shouldn't be a problem.DMP Mutual Support Thread No. 421

M&S and Lloyds TSB both have told us our accounts will be under review again in 12 months and they expect full normal payments after that date.

Yeah, they said the same to me 3 years ago, and I said to them what you said. No more comms, Lloyds continued with 0% interest, credit file fine. M&S started interest again, but debt to them is tiny & interest comes to not a lot at all so left them be.LBM - 11/08

M&S starting interest again has been the problem HH has been having since the minimum payment was reached. They have never stopped interest for us and are currently ignoring both us and the FOS. So at the moment it's a waiting game with interest currently piling on at approximately £85 per month :mad:LBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin

Hi all,
Sorry to hear of your troubles JasperC xx
On the six month / 12 month and then we expect normal payments.... many of our creditors said this to us. We're now 21 months in and they all have just taken what cccs have offered for us (this is only near our minimum payment in a couple of cases).

Hmmm... I wonder, could you put the account in dispute? Then they can't add interest, or collect the debt (but you can keep paying it off) until the dispute is resolved. I'm not sure what reasons you could put the account in dispute for though... Deny the debt's yours till you get a signed credit agreement... that'll save you a few months worth of £85 interest whilst they look for it!LBM - 11/08

I can't be doing with the hassle of it all, we just want it all paid off ASAP.
We try and make an extra payment each month to any creditor who is still charging us interest. At the moment, we are working on reducing the NatWest OD which after the CCCS payment on Monday will now be down to under £3000 from its original £4900 plus all the initial charges they piled on which took it over £5000. Once that is paid off, we will start hitting the M&S loan in the same way plus all creditors will get CCCS extra payment which should have gone to NatWest so an additional £150 per month to share out between them.
Current DFD is January 2016, we are working on getting this into December 2015 in the next few weeks then trying to cut it back even further. Am still toying with the idea of self managing DMP which would immediately cut a full month off the DFD.LBM 10/1/12 ~ DFW Start 6/2/12: £82,344 ~ Now Zero:staradmin:starmod::staradmin Debt free 17th April 2015 :staradmin:starmod::staradmin
