Well it was lovely to check online yesterday and see the first month's payment being sent out to creditors, finally feels like I'm back in control.

First phone calls came yesterday from Barclaycard but they could not have been nicer - seems they have had no offer from CCCS but they had received my letter so were aware of the DMP, so friendly and unlike anything I expected. Maybe its partly me being relaxed too, knowing they cannot have what I dont have gives an enormous feeling of control!

Glad I took this route, nice to see all that money going towards the debt itself and not 85% swallowed up in interest.
I don't know if I'm getting better or just used to the pain.

No sadly not:( They couldn't give me any idea of when the problem will be solved but they did say if I incurred any charges they would cover the cost. I received an email from my employer who said they were told the money would be through tomorrow, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed.

OH can still access his NatWest OD and CC accounts online and in his OD, CCCS payment appeared, then disappeared, appeared again and is now gone again.

I really hope the FOS gives them hell over this, the banks have no idea of the stress that they cause to people with stuff like this ... or they do know and they just don't care

I hope it gets sorted for you today.

Great news. You really can't beat that feeling of being back in control :T

I love watching the payments and updating my signature. I am wishing my life away waiting for the next CCCS payment date and subsequent drop in debt :D

At last, I've been paid

Food shopping tonight! No more eating the freezer dregs!!

Yes I agree TTFTM this has been stressful for me and I can't imagine how it has been for people trying to do the really important stuff like completing on their house purchase etc. A payment went out of my account that took me £4 over my limit so I will have to wait and see whether my bank will charge me. Natwest have assured everyone through the news that no one will be out of pocket so watch this space!

Well done mangler - it's a good feeling.

I know that for many of us this is easier said than done, but apologies from banks count for nothing. Acting with your feet can have a more noticeable effect however.

Can someone check something for me please?

As or today, I owe £7443 on my DMP. My monthly payment is £989. The CCCS website says my DMP will finish in March 2013. But I work it out as a full payment in January and a smaller payment in February, just to finish it off. I wondered if it was interest payments that I hadn't taken into account, but my total interest from all creditors is only about £20 a month.

Can anyone explain where I've gone wrong?

I agree with your calculations, CCCS seem to have got it wrong.

    Hi all

Need some advice off you lovely people. Ive posted about this before but not sure what to do next. One of my creditors, Marbles, are constantly ringing me, this can be 6 or more times a day. They know full well that im on a DMP with CCCS but every time I speak to them they say dont know anything about it, not on their systems blah blah blah... this is rubbish as I have spoken to some who know I am on a DMP.

Thay have aksed me for another I & E form which I have said no as they have already had 2 from CCCS. I have asked them to stop contacting me and all they say is that it is an automated system and they cant stop the calls. IVE HAD ENOUGH!!!!!!!

What is the next step fro me other than ignoring? Can I take it further, report them for hassling me? Its way over the top, Ive asked CCCS but they are a bit slow in responding too me. I know I owe them the money but they have had the first payment from me now, they did say that they didnt accept the payment at first but would once some spending on the account had dropped off (after 3 months i think).

    Any advice appreciated.

    Thanks

    Re: Harassment by telephone

    ACCOUNT NUMBER: XXXXXXX

    Dear Sirs

I am writing in relation to the quantity and frequency of telephone calls that I have received from your company, which I deem to be personally harassing.

I have verbally requested that these stop, but I am still receiving calls.

I now require all further correspondence from your company to be made in writing only.

I am of the view that your continued harassment of me by telephone puts you in breach of Section 40 of the Administration of Justice Act 1970, and the Protection from Harassment Act 1997.

If you continue to harass me by telephone, you will also be in breach of the Communications Act (2003) s.127 and I will report you to OFCOM, Trading Standards and The Office of Fair Trading, meaning that you will be liable to a substantial fine.

Be advised that any further telephone calls from your company will be recorded.

    Yours faithfully
