    Hi everyone,

I'm so pleased I've found this thread, it's been a massive help and perhaps some of us will meet our future colleagues! I have completed the application form for the EO position and next is the test. Truth is, I'm pretty petrified about this: I did a few practise questions I found online and did pretty poorly which has resulted in me delaying the test for 2 days so far. I know the deadline is looming so I can't do that for much longer...Is it really difficult? I have never done anything like this in jobs I've applied to before. Any help would be much appreciated and good luck to all. xx

Also, wondered if anyone was applying for positions in 2 districts? If so, how did you go about this? Many thanks.

Goldilockz, have a look at my post here, which contains what I found out about applying in multiple districts. I've received the Locations form for my first application this morning and it definitely only includes locations within the area covered by that application.

I got emails today asking me to complete a 'working locations form'. It said that this wasn't a preference exercise but just to give DWP an indication of how many people would like to work in each district/area.
I submitted applications for 2 different districts and received 2 emails today - both for the same district [?!?]. Had a deadline of Friday to email back.
Anybody else had a similar email yet? :)

Hi Redsky, I got emails for both of my applications this morning, one for each district, so it sounds like they may have c*cked up in your case.

My partner did the test on Tuesday and managed a score of 94%. Fingers cross this will be enough for her to get an interview!!!!

She had the working locations form yesterday ( which they sent twice ) even though she had only applied for one district so they must have just done it accidentally. That was emailed back last night.

    So were just waiting now!!!
  • I've just done my test after stressing about doing it.

    I'm very happy though as I got 99%, 22/24 & 261/336

Just the dreaded interview to get through now:eek:

Congrats! That's a fantastic score! How did you find the test?
  • It is quite overwhelming when you start it as there is a lot of information/text to absorb. The questions are quite straightforward but it is just the sheer amount of text you need to read on the computer screen. Personally I would have found it easier to do on paper so I could highlight info etc.

I think I'm going to tackle it in a couple of hours, no use putting it off for much longer. Is there plenty of time or did you find that time ran out towards the end?

It really depends how quick you are reading and assimilating information, I finished it in about an hour but I'm a quick reader, if you're not then I would make sure that you are not going to be interrupted at all during the 75 minutes so you can give it your full attention.
  • Thank you. I've just filled in my working locations form which I was surprised to receive before I'd completed the test. Most of the areas listed were at least an hour's drive so I ended up with only a few I could realistically get to. Isn't looking too good at the moment...
