1. Pass the online test
2. Pass the sift on the competencies you submitted with the application (my manager is on the sifting panel for that)
3. Pass the interview
4. Waiting list or job offer, depending on how you scored.
Curious about #3, I noticed that only one of the competencies was mandatory on the application form.
Any idea on whether you'd have to do the separate literacy or numeracy tests in addition to this?
One final question would be are they going to be sifting continually or will that not begin until after the vacancies and testing stage ends (in case passmark is adjusted upwards)0 -
I got immediate feedback from my online test - have applied for 2 different districts and was a bit gutted I had to do the test twice but I got 99% so hopefully this will be good enough. Fingers crossed! :wall:0

Completed mine Wednesday PM, but not heard a thing since?
Someone posted in another thread they scored 98%, but not had an email about next stage.....
Check the feedback section of your application via civil service webiste. When I'd completed the test I got my result immediately.
Still have to wait and see if I get through to next stage though...:)0 -
Overall Score (percentile): 94%
I'm pleased with this.

Well done, you must surely be a shoe-in with a score like that! I submitted this morning but haven't heard anything back yet, either by email or on the website.
Do you know for sure if you have to apply for each district that you're interested in? I wasn't sure if the Location Form that is mentioned in the job advert allows you to specify places in districts other than the one you have applied for.0 -

I'm not sure where you saw only one was mandatory, i just had a look myself and they are all equal. If you pass the sift and get to interview you could be expected to answer a couple of questions on any of the competencies.
Any online testing will be done during the application, ive not heard of any additional testing other than the 75 min one that you complete after you have submitted your app.
The sifting will happen after the close. You either pass or fail the online test ( I dont know what the pass would be). The sift will be scored and then the top however many will be invited to interview.0 -

I think it's the way the online application is set up; only the first competency has an asterix denoting mandatory. I would assume this is an "error" with the application rather that meaning only one is mandatory.0 -

Ahh ok. I do have it on good authority that you need to have all 5 complete to have a chance at passing the sift0 -
You do have to have a 'story' as I call them for all 5. If in doubt make somthing up to fit, make sure it has a start a middle and an end then print it off before you submit so that you can go back to what you put down if you get to interview. The interviewers aren't gonna know if it was a real situation or not. Good Luck0

That's what I was told as well.0
