Got Provisional offer for Derbyshire on 27th June. (interview score 36)
Major congrats rivage! Horay!:D
I also hope that we get some info through about the difference between the pensions before we can make a 'final' choice.
As I understand it, you automatically get opted in to the nuvos civil service pension and have to opt out in order to change it to stakeholder pension.
For me, my gut feeling is to go with the civil service pension but I might change my mind yet.0 -

Disclosure Scotland took ages to come back (over a month), inspite of having been CRB checked twice before, when I went into the Police, and then for Teaching which only took 7 days that second time. I didn't realise Disclosure Scotland, and CRB were different entities.
Got Formal Offer yesterday, for my original 1st choice branch.
Gone from being over-joyed, to quickly very very nervous!
Is there anyone on the Forum who I could PM and ask advice about the Pension? I'd be really grateful as its something I know nothing about.
Do you receive any Info explaining everything. When I left the Police, I received my Pension money back, minus Tax and a contribution to returning to the State pension scheme. I hadn't even known that by opting "in" to the Police pension, that I'd opted "out" of the State one.

Finally the long wait is over! Yay!:j
Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear.
Oh, and I also managed to secure part time working - 4 days a week. Just what I wanted!
Very pleased for you, as everyone has said on here you've been a great support so well done, you deserve it.

I start on 28th August.
Anyone else from the B&S reserve list heard anything yet?
Oh, and I've withdrawn from BC and SS districts so this should help free up a space for those still waiting on their lists.0 -
Any new starters or people still waiting from the Hamps/IOW area?0

As Esoog says, as your earning more than £21,000 pa (whether full time or part time) then your on a 2 year pay freeze.0 -
My husband currently works for JCP [B&S] and he has had a pay freeze for the past 3 years because he earns more than 21K [those earning less than 21K still had pay rises]. This year he has been given a 1% pay increase and believes that I too will get this increase when I start my new EO role.
I can't confirm that until I actually get my contract though.;)0
