But I HAVE worked in the Civil before - in quite a few depts, in fact - so I AM suited to the work. No, you were suited to the work. Perhaps the ethos of the recruiting depts is different, or your apparent overconfidence as to your suitability comes through?0 -

I have been in the CS that long, that when I started working in London in the late 1980`s (having done a Norman Tebbit - got on my bike & looked for work), that I was promised to get to the top of my payscale in 3 years.
This I achieved and have been on the max for 20 + years now !0 -
I'm not sure if anyone reads this thread anymore but has anyone else had their contract through yet?0
