Does anyone know how long after you receive your crb check they call you up to confirm the offer?0

Hi, been lurking for a couple of weeks, was put on hold list scoring 37 in interview as an external applicant. My husband scored 28 and was told no. After emailing for 3 weeks I was finally told I was 2nd on the list.
Not sure if this is good or not now, as we are so far down the road I feel I will be very lucky if I get an offer of employment. It's highly unlikely.
Have there been anymore job offers to anyone on reserve list this late?
Thanks0 -

Any SE Wales reserve listers out there been offered a position yet? I still can't get any sense/response as to where I am on the reserve list lol

No one bothers coming on here anymore - we're all too happy and busy in our shiny new jobs.0

Thanks for that.0

It goes a bit quiet, then there is a bit of a flurry when more jobs get allocated.
Don't lose heart, there is still another 2 1/2 months toll the end of october, when I believe the lists finish. A lot can happen between now and then, look at Redsky (Congrats by the way!).0 -
I agree with Thunderplex. It goes quiet on here until the next 'batch' of jobs are allocated.
I had almost given up hope of being offered a post but the support and information I received from this forum was invaluable.
I can't comment about chances in the Durham & Tees area [B&S are still offering some posts to people on the reserve list] but I would say that being 2nd on the list with over 2months to go puts you in a strong position.
I have my fingers crossed for you Paulaboz! Good luck!;)0 -
Does anyone know why it is that HRMC are dealing with the recruitment now?
I received back my CRB, emailed it to them as they requested, now Ive found out BOTH of my references are out of the country for 2 weeks as from today, Im really panicking about it and dont know who to call. Ive emailed hrmc but gotten no reply. Does anyone know if theres a time limit that the referees have to get back to them by??0 -

None of my 'work' references were contacted - but I was asked to supply 2 additional 'character' references. On the proforma they had to complete they were both told to return the form within 7 days, which they did.
Not sure if this is standard time limit though.0 -
