Guess that means I am either first (which I doubt) or below you (which is more likely, so you will get a job before me) for Durham/tees. Did you see the jobs in the passport office in Durham? Twilight shift though, but EO.

Yes I did see them, I would love to apply but I need full time hours, I'm trying for an AO job with home office. I wish you luck, you might well be first. I am not holding out any hope of getting set on.
  • Further update - same guy rang me to say Hants are still recruiting and have 7 vacs in Southampton for fixed term till Aug 2013. I will probably decline so somebody else will be offered something soon. I guess this means I am somewhere in the top 7 on the reserve list with 35 points.

Pay freez still there, the band minimum 21320 rose to 21540. Almost 20 odd pounds up per month.
New sanction regime starting 22 oct. I joined in July.
Training takes 5 weeks then Further 9 training days. Hth
  • I have recieved a phone call for Hampshire and was offered either a permenent role in aldershot or FTA in Southampton for a year. They are still working down the list I was number 3 who has "accepted" the chance for Southampton. They are also having a few people turning it down and if anyone is still being a voyeur on here for Hampshire then you may still get the phone call.
  • Recieved my provisional offer of FTA for Southampton up until end of next year. Even though I am in full time employment I am so happy to get this offer that my permenent job can kiss my posterior lol Anyone else get an offer

Good luck, I'm leaving a permanent job also, I do believe that the time and cost in training us up as advisors will ensure we'll be made permanent come the budget :)

You presume (incorrectly) that the Civil Service works in a logical manner .... I havent found this (yet) in my long CS career.
