Great News, my CRB came yesterday( Wed 18) and today (Thurs 19) I was offered a position. I asked for any part time working patterns and was given a four day week. Yippee:T
I could have started on August 20th but have opted for 10th Sept. I cannot believe the long wait is finally over.
The lady said that most of the positions have now gone and they are definitely at the tail end of their recruitment.
I am so happy. Good luck to all those still waiting and I hope you hear something soon.
Shaggi did you get a call?
Great news Sammyd,
I got the call last Friday. The lady said they were down to their last few positions, and since you didn't seem to have received your Crb at that time, I didn't want to dishearten you.
I chose the 20th August start, it allows me to give a months notice where I am & have a week off before the big start.
We will probably be on the me training, my first week is induction, etc. & then the training stops until after the Paralympics. So I am told that I will be on the main training event from 10th September.
After this long process what a great feeling when the call comes, eh?
See you there.0 -
Just received a provisional offer in Derbyshire. I was wondering if the address to post the Health Declaration was correct, seeing as the email they gave to reply to in there wasnt! Apparently HMRC are dealing with the recruitment now and the email has to be sent to them. So I wondered what addresses you guys sent your declarations to..0

Well, after going on the waiting list and then completely ruling out anything coming from this recruitment I got a phone call on friday from a local JobcentrePlus manager asking if i was still available for a position. They said that they would run checks and then get back to me, possibly this week. My only concern is that nothing has changed on my application status on the civil service website. Is this normal? Others seem to have got their provisional offers via the website rather than local phone calls.0

Got the provisional via website and then checks and then confirm offer from the manager, in your case it seems they need you and are doing everything in hurry. Wish u good Luck.0 -
I received my provisional offer on Friday morning and have emailed back to confirm my acceptance, however I got an "out of office" reply saying to now email the csrjobs@hmrc email address - i'm worried that this hasn't gone through so I wondered if a.) anybody else had to do this, and 2.) if anybody has a contact number for them so I can confirm they got my email.
I've phoned the usual recruitment line phone number but they state that they haven't got a hmrc phone number?!0 -

All my checks [for B&S] are done and I've been told today that my next steps are to wait for 'the call'. I've never had a provisional offer, email or change of status so I wouldn't worry too much. Hope this helps.:)0 -

I had an email from someone at district office. I haven't got an email/number for hmrc. I have rung recruitment line a couple of times but all they have done is confirm that my checks are completed and tell me what position I am on the reserve list.
I don't think they are doing this in any structured way0 -
What rates of pay are these jobs offering please?0

I rang the recruitment line yesterday to find out where I was on the list and was told the recruitment exercise is now being dealt with by HMRC. They haven't got a contact number, but will communicate via email.0
