Where are you?
Hi Amy and sammyroser, I have not had my formal offer yet, I am hoping for Oxford. Just a hold up with my CRB, yet to be completed, should not be a problem, I have had three of them done in the last few months. Hopefully will know soon, I am very keen to get to it like you Amy, very excited.0 -
Hey guys
My OH had his first day today and he really enjoyed it. He got PA for 18-25 years olds.
Good luck to those still waiting, I am sure it only matter of time0 -

I emailed the person who was carrying out my security checks...asking how far its progressed and she replied:
Hi R
Your baseline security checks are now clear, however a different team issue the start dates etc so I am unable to give any further information regarding timescales etc.
Kind Regards
can anyone clarify what this means exactly?
many thanks
Hi
The baseline checks are carried out centrally. They then pass the results to the regions which you applied to for them to make the final offers and issue start dates etc. So you should really hear in the next week or so. from the regional recruitment team with your formal offer. Good luck0 -
As a Civil Servant (in another department) for far to many years that I care to remember (20 years plus and counting), for all of you that will have to pay to get to work, I am sure DWP (like my Department) offer interest free loans over 12 months.
These loans are for travel passes/car park season tickets & pedal bikes.
IE they loan you the money and then reclaim it in 12 monthly instalments from your salary - and you have to buy the ticket or its Gross Misconduct and your sacked !.
Hope this helps !0 -
thanks a lot for clarifying that CSMW0

Hi Desmond1
Congratulations on your fantastic news ... you finally got there!
Can I just clarify when you say North East which region are you exactly referring to? Northumberland/Tyne and Wear or Durham/Tees?
Good luck and I hope your start date is soon!

the other half got offered a provisional on the 22nd April (she got the email), but nothing since then, She's put down her ex employer for ref but he hasn't heard a thing as of yet either...
are there any specific contacts she can call to find out where she is in the process?
thanks0 -
