Well Im a step closer.....DWP contacted me today via email to ask if I had my pre employment checks already done by my current employer (Im already a civil servant). So fingers crossed the ball is now rolling for my district and I will get a start date soon.... :)

Lol, yeah, I got that too. Assume they've given up doing it properly, and just gone "you ok to work here, yeah?" seeing as current dept seems to be dragging feet.

Haha - that was my thoughts exactly.....
  • Finally got the phone call this afternoon - yay! PA role in my 5th choice location in Kent - which is fine as it's about 30 mins drive.
    Such a relief :j

Finally got "the call" with formal offer and start date! I was on the reserve list with a score of 34 and didn't really expect to get anything but have been offered North and West London. I rejected West and went for North as it's closer to me.

    Timeline of process:
    21st Jan: Applied
    5th March: Interview
    22nd April: Reserve list
    11th May: Provisional offer
    7th June: Formal offer

The phone call should come in within a week of when you receive back your Disclosure Scotland. They offer you start dates as soon as a week from the call. I, unfortunately, needed a months notice so had to go for 9th July.

I hope, for those that are waiting, you will hear some good news soon.
