Well done Sue it must feel great to finally close the book on this long drawn out process and start a new path. I am waiting on North Scotland but havent had 'the call' yet. My score was 37.
All the best with the new job0 -

Congratulations to all with formal offers.:)
Got my call on Monday for West Yorks to start at my first choice office so I am over the moon and have been smiling and practically skipping all week! It's been a long process but totally worth it now!
Good luck to all still waiting x0 -

Start date is July 9th, then on to 6 weeks of training.
On a side note, the lady on the phone told me that as I've now accepted a job in W Yorkshire, I will be taken off the reserve list for the North West and Derbyshire. She also mentioned I was 'quite high' on the reserve list for the NW with a score of 35.
Good luck to all those still waiting.
Congratulations:j and lots of luck x0 -
Just thought I'd share this with you ...
I've been into my local JobCtr today and when talking to one of the advisors I enquired if she had any inside info regarding candidates who were on the reserve list and the likelihood of anyone being offered a post. She said no, they never hear anything from management, but went on to add that they have new starters commencing next week on a 13 week casual contract who had been recruited via a different process!!
When I asked what position they were being recruited for, she was unsure. Therefore I rang the helpline to enquire as on my reserve list confirmation it said that I would considered for any similar vacancies. The helpline advisor said in summary I would have no right to be considered for the new positions. I tried to explain that I understood this was the case if they were different grades, therefore I was trying to clarify the actual grade. He was unable to clarify. I said I have never experienced such a lack of transparency and the response I received was that they had no obligation whatsoever to be transparent to external candidates and we would receive as much or as little information as they felt we required!!
And out of the 100 positions offered in my region, the number offered to external candidates was single figures!0 -
Hello JessStar,
Thank-you for your email. We are currently awaiting confirmation from {your current CS) to advise us you were employed through the 'fair and open' system. Thank-you

So basically, it's my current employer doing the feet dragging, not the DWP. Great.
That sucks Jess would seem something they could confirm quickly
I was wondering if my Dept was doing the same esp if the DWP has contact share service in my Dept as they are a nightmare
Jess do you know if the carried out a CRB check on you as you were a current CS???0 -

Hey guys
Just to let you know I'm a current CS and disclosure Scotland have just confirmed they haven't received any paperwork for a crb check on me, at the interview I was told I wouldn't need one as I am already CS.
My references haven't been contacted either as I have checked with both of them.
Does anyone else know what checks they do? As I still haven't had the 'phone call' yet and not sure what the hold up is??0
